Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Misi Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 I have paid my renewals religiously since 2009, until now.Just now I did not pay for it because IPS 4's development is taking really long time already to be able to use it on a live site.Seems it will take more and more.Suddenly my client title disappeared, not able to see the forum for clients.I'm not a client anymore...Is it fair?I understand not to have ticket support but don't understand why am I kicked out as a client?
MarcusH Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Client = Active LicenseMember = Expired LicenseVisitor = Has no License I am guessing an active license is required for the client lounge.
Management Lindy Posted May 14, 2015 Management Posted May 14, 2015 MarcusH is correct. The Clients group can be thought of more as "Active Clients."
Misi Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 MarcusH is correct. Is it fair to your ex(???) clients? Will this force them to pay the renewal immediately?
Management Lindy Posted May 14, 2015 Management Posted May 14, 2015 It's been this way for nearly a decade. If you don't renew, you're no longer considered an active client. It doesn't inhibit your ability to post feedback, bugs, etc. You're just not recognized as a client and lose access to the client lounge because... well, you're not an active client.
Misi Posted May 14, 2015 Author Posted May 14, 2015 It's been this way for nearly a decade. [:)] ... You're just not recognized as a client and lose access to the client lounge because... well, you're not an active client. I always paid so I could not recognize it. In short: You are not a client. Any hope that the company recognizes that it should not be this way at least from now on?
m@t Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 ++++ misi i also not understand why forums will be canceled and you get no info anymore
Woodsman Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 As I remember, this has been the normal practice since 2005.Think of it like any other business with benifits
