Try to run Get support to fix database problems. I didn't write a sql update script because V3 has complex and unstable features so I recommend users have a new installation in IPS4.

August 22, 20168 yr For some reason my Slider has disappeared after the last update. It's enabled as a widget, and all the settings are present... Am I missing something simple? Sorry, This is not an error with the slider, t' seems to be an error with the IPS menu system which was pointing to a page which was not set to display the Slider. Thanks.
August 25, 20168 yr Hi @onlyME, Just installed this, like it however I'm having an issue. When I add items from all my forums, it only chooses about 5 or 6, rather than all of them. It just loops those same images. I'm not sure I understand the "Total contents in slideshow" option either, surely that would be the number of images it finds in the forums?

If you set 100, it will get 100 images from 100 topics. You will see the default no-image if your topic has no image.

I set to ignite topics with no image. so in effect, this picks the first 100 pics from the first 100 topics and doesn't change? I thought it would pick random pics from the whole forum?

Because you turn on 'ignore topic with no image' so it only gets the topics that have images. There is the sorting option to pick topics. Example you pick 20 topics, sort by ID, order Z-A, it will get 20 newest topics. And if you turn on Random, the slider still shows that 20 topics but you will see the topics have other positions in slider every time you refresh page.

This is an interesting use of Featured Content (and I like interesting and novel things.) Can I ask, though, why you think Featured Content would be better than the inbuilt advertisements in IP.Commerce, which tracks metrics, impressions, rotations, etc?

I'm not suggesting a replacement for IP Commerce, I'm suggesting better placement of the adverts, via a slider. This way we keep the IP commerce adverts obviously but we get to display the adverts better. ?

You should try it out and post a guide in Community Administration! It's an interesting use of FC.

Of course I'm not sure if clicking on this slider will update stats, doubt it, but the link works well.@onlyME, would be great if it linked into adverts and worked with stats etc. For me, the main thing would be that when adverts expired, they would automatically be removed from this slider. Whether that's possible or not, I'm loving this plugin. It's got much more potential than I realised.
