Possible to ban a certain user from a certain topic?

Sometimes I would like to ban a certain user from a certain topic. The only possibility I have now is to lock the whole thread, which I think is unfair to those who discuss as they are supposed to.

I guess I could also use to ban a user completely, but I'll try to avoid that as much as possible, because I think it's more important to keep the board alive.

Or is it maybe already possible and I just haven't found out how?
