Josh Bond
A friend just switched to another software. They don't have a dedicated download app, and that's a big deal for me. But they do have some things I wished IPBoard would consider. One thing he shared with me I really like is you can put CSS edits into an external css file. That way, they aren't intermingled with what IPBoard calls a "skin". That makes upgrading a lot easier and it makes all of your CSS edits centralized and self contained. No taking them out and putting them back in or re-integrating them into the skin. Now, after an upgrade, you may have to modify your CSS or comment out lines and add them in one at a time, but that's still easier than what we do now in IPboard. Another thing is a site wide color picker...

Management Matt Posted April 24, 2013 Management Share Posted April 24, 2013 As noted above, you can create a new CSS file in the ACP and use that for your custom CSS. There's no need to really edit the main files unless you are making huge changes to your skin.
