AlexJ
At present we are using xcache. But forums become little slow after few days and I have to restart apache. Does anyone has any experience with memcache or eAccelerator? How was your experience if you ever changed from xcache to something else. Your suggestion/experience will help. Thanks! Gary.
We currently use both and they work great togather,We changed the default /tmp storage to its own folder and having a cron job to remove the cached files every hour to keep the memory usuage down, Doing this way rather than the default lowered the server loads by 60%. See people assume installing is good but there are default permissions for all scripts which can be even more tuned to get the most out of it with less resources, Its just the matter of daily tweeking / log checking. ASTRAPI
Does the eaccelerator or xcache need something special to be done on apache configuration to work well? I mean setting fcgi and mpm worker or prefork or....?
