Today I was making some tests with file upload and notice that the directories and files that are created have chmod 0777 coded directly.
Since there are few different ways to setup a server and some don't need these permissions (I only use 750 or 770), these values can/should be modified in the ACP.

We have an open bug report about this (adding settings to let the admin control chmod permissions).
