Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted January 28, 201015 yr Just a small feature request. I come from SMF, and one of the best features of it was unread replies. It basically is an option to show any threads that you have started/posted in that may have new posts. If there is something like this already available as an applications/modification, please let me know as I have not found it in my searches. Also, I'm sure this has been requested before, but I could not find that either. Thanks for any feedback. If this cannot be completed, then I may find the time to create it myself (call it a "learning" experience ;) ) Regards, JBlaze
January 28, 201015 yr That is a nice feature and I thought there was a mod for it. How ever I can not find it and it may have been for 2.3.6 as well. Hopefully it can be added into 3.1.

Please, consider those requests
July 26, 201014 yr Owdy, but you're the genious from SMF? BTW what I've read isn't the same option ( action=unreadreplies ). Thank you, btw. Hope some extra coding could be implemented in the next releases. It was the first click on the smf forums of course, as you can see immediately the content you're following, either to help or to be helped and assisted.
July 26, 201014 yr Owdy, but you're the genious from SMF? LOL, im former SMF Lead Support Specialist, but i'm far from genius :D
July 26, 201014 yr And I was (am) italian language moderator. Missing something...but not that much. IPB rocks, but it's just one month I'm facing new code and trying to read in a better way this new kind of board. As i've bought and left immediately vB. The only stuff is this one, and on SMF with a billion of assisted people, it was soooo easy to reach them via "action=unreadreplies".Nice to meet you here.
July 26, 201014 yr This is a very nice feature that SMF has. Some people do not understand how nice it is until they get used to using it. I would want that one for sure.
July 26, 201014 yr It's maybe the only thing I'm really missing. The ability to jump immediately to the new replies to your post-answers in posts or topics in wich there's some of your assistance. For the forum's administrators (and we all here use to be admins) is top main easy way to manage user's needs. Hope the staff will understand
December 12, 201014 yr Any luck in accomplishing this cool feature ? Many of my users are making pressure on the staff to move back to SMF because of this.
December 12, 201014 yr why? a mod is not needed to get the OP's resultsIt basically is an option to show any threads that you have started/posted in that may have new posts. my content search from the drop down under your username does this.
December 13, 201014 yr Eventually I've added a new tab with the following link:index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity It means that if you add this to the forum's main link , example: http://www.community.invisionpower.com/index.php?app=core&module=search&do=user_activity you'll have specifically the topic with your posts in. Like here It isn't exactly the same, but people learned to use it.
December 13, 201014 yr so like I said in my other post, its a replication of what is already built in ?
December 13, 201014 yr Of course..nothing new. But for people that comes (like me) from SMF that had always available the "content" as a link somewhere in the user's area, now it's a bit different. That's why I've went across the problem with that, and not using the drop-down options from my user control panel. That's it. In addiction "my content" search has, at the end of the string, the user's ID, while without the ID becomes available for anyone. That's it. Nothing new because nobody used to code it as it's on SMF.
December 14, 201014 yr I've made something like that for my client.. You can see it on screen: However it isn't much tested..
