Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Danny Tipple Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 Just upgraded my board which has IPGallery, Mod Center, Mediawiki Link, Custom Skin and a few other small mods. No problems at all :)
Mert Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I liked the new ACP but in the home page of the ACP, the colors used look too odd. There's no relation between designs of other pages and the home page. I hope the look of the home page will be changed in the following version :)
JamesAcres Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 The updates are very good. However rebuilding 45551 posts 500 per cycle rocketed the CPU and the server that it's hosted on refused to rebuild any more after about half way through. I then spent a while editing any posts with a youtube tag I had recently added to rebuild them manually myself... quite annoying. However it all looks very nice, I'm using the new images instead on the old ones on my customised skin.
Ziv Grosu Posted June 14, 2007 Posted June 14, 2007 I like IP.Board 2.3.0 bulletin! It's so cool. Just upgraded but there are some problems :| but i don't care =]
Kevin Green Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Attempting to download this latest release from the Client Area, and I'm getting an empty zip file. Tried in both Firefox and IE and I get an empty file all the time.Is it just me, or is something wrong?edit: Client Area says the file is 0kb too :)
Dean Thompson Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 I m unable to download, it shows 0 bytes always!!!!!Tried from both IE and FF :(
Rikki Posted June 15, 2007 Posted June 15, 2007 Please please make it a little bit faster... :rolleyes:The GDK's are now available in the client area :)
Breed Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 The GDK's are now available in the client area :)Very nice, but which fonts have beend used? I need to translate my button set... :ermm:
Rikki Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Very nice, but which fonts have beend used? I need to translate my button set... :ermm:Myriad Pro - if you have a different version to the one used, you can just change it to your version, there should be very little difference in appearance :)
Keven Fox Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 Yes found that out the hard way, found out for the one on there you would have to pay like $35. But I had Myriad Pro. You use myriadpro bold.
.John. Posted June 16, 2007 Posted June 16, 2007 I still have no idea how to use the DIFF report...if anyone has INSTRUCTIONS please post or something...I can't figure it out using any of the two previous programs mentioned...
Matt Saunders Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 A message to the Invision Developers:Excellent Job with 2.3.0 its soooo much faster than 2.2.2. I love it.Thanks ;)
.John. Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 If you're on linux, you want "patch -p5 <diff.txt"But then how does it know the path to the files and stuff?
Josh04 Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 It's all in the file. It has the full paths to the files from the computer which made it, and the -p5 skips the first 5. It may have been more levels than that though, I can't remember.
Κeith Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 I searched the thread for 'skin' and did not find anything relating to my question, so apologies if this has been adressed. Will we be forced to install the pro skin with each upgrade? I have no desire to use it, so if I have to edit the upgrade files to remove the call to the import functions on each upgrade it will be a little on the tedious side. Perhaps an option to install/upgrade the skin should be added to the upgrade walkthrough.I love the new splash page in the ACP, though it'll take some time to get used to going from left to right when going across the links in the ACP. :P
bfarber Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 The pro skin is only inserted at the 2.3.0 step.Moving forward if there are skin updates, we will check if it is installed, and if so update it. We will not be inserting it again, however, if you choose to remove it. :)

Booth Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 I like IP.Board 2.3.0 bulletin! It's so cool. Just upgraded but there are some problems :| but i don't care =]What is this bulletin? Don't tell me that there's an option included in the adminCP that allows subscribed users to receive an automated weekly email bulletin with the latest 10 posts? Been waiting for something like that since I changed over from Vbulletin.
.Timmy Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 Now 2.3.1, only a week after. O_OI'm glad I waited. :D
Josh04 Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 It's only about 15 bug fixes. Nothing major, or mod-breaking.
