  1. You shouldn't be accessing your acp in a "shared environment". Not just that but someone will not just be able to obtain your session id it would take a fair amount of incompetence on the admin's end for that to happen.
  2. I believe it tries matching by ip address.
  3. Quoting them from the ticket "I've looked into this before and it's not that easy to resolve I'm afraid." So it would appear that it was too difficult for them to do so they waited several years until IPB 3. In other words they basically left their customers (who depend on the subscription manager) out to dry.
  4. If history has taught you anything you should have known it was going to take a long time regardless of what they made it sound like. One of the biggest bugs on the subscription manager was reported back in November 2007 and another back in July 2006 and those were just recently fixed on beta 1. That alone should tell you nothing is going to happen quickly which is why I'm still on 2.3.6.
  5. I'm sure you would also not appreciate people spreading misinformation. I could have handled it nicer however he/she could have written their post more accurately like saying "I haven't noticed any bugs. I think my board is perfect." instead of trying to state things as fact like he/she did "Well, i dont have any bugs on my board". Clearly, there are bugs just take a look at the bug tracker...
  6. That's a pretty ignorant statement. There are confirmed bugs and I'm sure still unknown ones. Just because you're too ignorant not to notice them doesn't mean they don't exist. I'm glad however to see Matt and the others working through them. Great job.
  7. The date bug I reported back in November 2007  is likely the cause of those double charges. http://forums.invisionpower.com/tracker/issue-7729-date-bug/ My post on that page will explain the details.

    GMT Israel?

Because it's anti-Semitic not to specifically name Israel.
  9. For those of us who will not be updating to IPB 3 will there be a patch/fix of some kind to resolve the many bugs for the IPB 2.3 subscription manager? I'm mostly disappointed in IPB 3 and I'm sure many others are as well and will probably not be updating to it.
  10. Maybe I'm missing it but no subscription manager?
  11. Running ipb 3 rc1 with sidebars on a low-end server with no tuning.
  12. Generation time on mine 0.0208 sec for index page.
  13. I agree there are some major bugs (confirmed bugs) with the current 2.3.6 subscription manager that have been totally ignored for at least several years. I think more than enough time has been given so hopefully when/if they do include it in 3.0.0 it will be working flawlessly as it should with the ample amount of time that has been given (several years).
  14. Takes me 10 seconds or more to load each page. When RC1 was on here it was much faster than that (1-2 seconds).
  15. It would be nice if ipb could release the subscription manager before the final so that it could actually be tested before putting it into a "production" release.
  16. I agree. Hopefully IPB can at least get it working properly as their subscription manager has been severely broken in many ways (bugs) for many years without any resolution.
  17. Every 2.3.6 board I've tried allows 1 character passwords even a blank space.
  18. Why is the minimum password length only 3 characters? I see no option to change this in 3.0.0 RC1 and 2.3.6 just allows any number of characters even a single character. I hope I'm just overlooking the option to change this because it would be sad on so many levels if IPB really set it up like this.
  19. Sorry if this has already been answered but how are the avatars in the gallery sorted? On 2.3.6 they appear to be in some sort of order. 01.png 02.png 03.png etc... However in the 3.0.0 RC1 they are just randomly scattered around on the page and do not seem to be in any specific order.
