Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted January 4, 200718 yr I hope that this suggestion gets added in ACP as an option, in a future IPB version:An option that if selected by the admin, will allow a topic/post that moderators set to invisible, to still be viewed by the member who posted it.I'm using a mod for this, but it would be great if it was added among ACP options, so that we don't have to edit files with every new upgrade. Its a very useful option. Invisibilizing posts trigger members to shower mods with inquiries asking where their posts gone, and sometime they re-post thinking that a bug or something happened. Its also useful when we ask the member to edit their post before we can approve it, in cases of rule violations. And when a forum is set so that topics get in queue for reviewing first, the member would know that their post is there, and he/she can check back anytime to see if its background color changed to normal = approved.I'm attaching the file of the mod in case its needed. It calls for editing 4 files, and it worked for 2.17invisible_visible_install.htm
January 4, 200718 yr I completly agree this should be a feature, I often have members post the same things multiple times because they think it has not worked when they are in fact, in mod queue
