Is there any way to remove the "- Site Name" from the page title? Instead of this: <title>This is a Post - Site Name</title> I would rather it be: <title>This is a Post</title> This is because the favicon already identifies the site, making the title more clear and less redundant. It has also been becoming a thing on popular social networks. I know this may seem like a superficial change, but I couldn't make it with templates.

Dear Invision community, Since IPS4 was released, the creation of a CSV import tool hasn't gone unnoticed or unwelcome. It has been developed to be far more extensible than any other software I've seen. Including the other popular behemoth VBulletin/Xenforo. There's just one problem. Even after disabling login handlers under standard/display names, so members just login with an email address, the importer runs into an error. Intentional or otherwise, it's the worst kind of problem one can face, when importing member profiles. "Fields were imported, some rows were skipped. Display name not unique." Anyone who has a duplicate display name, won'…

I wish there were a permission for club leaders to edit extra fields of the club. At the moment only club owners can edit the extra fields. Unfortunately our leaders are technically not experienced enough that we would give them club owner's permissions.

It would be good to allow only some clubs to have physical locations enabled. We have over 200 clubs but only 10 of them are really geographically. By other 180 clubs the location map is senseless.

Hi everyone We are SEO professionals, and as many of you know, content is king The problem with communities is that many users create topics with 5 words and nobody replies to it so it generates thousands of "empty" pages >> this leads to a Google Panda penalty We have detected this problem on many (small or large) Invision Board communities but not only, also on Xenforo, PHPBB, Vbulletin communities, same problem The minimum count words for a quality page is at least 200 words of UNIQUE content (some would say 400) Hopefully there is one solution to this problem : Add a NOINDEX by default to all topics if count_words < 200 word…

I'd like to change the subscription block settings so that staff members and members in special user groups don't see it.

Hello, In some places the online service has the obligation to remove user data if so requested by the person. Thinking about it, I thought of the following tool. User Home AdminCP Images were made by HTML editing.

I have this site with only content items. I need a way to limit the amout of content items in activity stream! Is this something that IPS would look into?

I'm not sure if I'm the only one here, but setting up Pay Pal API is not a straight forward process. 1. I'm no stranger. I have a business Pay Pal account. With a dedicated API Username, Password and Signature assigned. 2. That's not the information that payment method accepts when trying to put it as a payment method. Even though that is the information requested when wanting to make withdrawals and refunds. Basically, something's not right. 3. This needs to be simplified. So that such information is used in both areas for with withdrawal settings and default pay pal payment methods in and of itself Otherwise, there's no guarantee that you aren't paying ou…

Hey, Although Support likes to call this a "new feature", what I described below isn't a new feature, but rather showcase of incomplete one. Calendar Event creation/edit endpoints are very lacking in following areas: In WebGUI there is a possibility of selecting "All Day event" toggle, when you don't provide "End Date". In API, that isn't possible, thus you have to provide End Date, which isn't something we want to do in many situations. SOLUTION: We should have "all_day" parameter in API. In WebGUI there is a possibility of attaching a header banner image to events. API doesn't enable that, as a result we get stuck we ugly default image. POSSIBLE S…

I wish we would have a sitemap for clubs. The clubs are used very extensive on our site. We have over 200 clubs on our site and the most of them are really active, having over 100 members.

Hey guys, A few years ago I chose IP.Board 3.x to be the forum of my clan. What was a small group became a shining city on the hill. We went from 300+ registered members and 40+ active daily to a ecosystem of over a dozen micro communities in the forum of clubs! Invision Community 4.x has been an exciting upgrade for us. It offers innovative features on a simple-but-functional scale. We're finally able to create a website stacked with custom pages, forum boards, commerce and more. Problem is, our forum by itself is very large. As a result, users end up confused navigating between clans and non-clan forums. One way we could solve this is by branching out and cre…

I'm sure this has been asked before. But in all Western Europe, company's often do not have credit cards and do not use Paypal. Mostly shops use Paypal but not normal businesses. They do use iDeal which is a fast and safe way do pay money. As fast as Paypal and safer because it's connected directly to the bank. Invision should consider using this, or if they can't to it themselves, use a service which can do it for them for a small fee like Mollie or Cardgate or something like that. You can even let the customer pay for the transfer fee if wanted. This way you have more potential in attracting European customers. Even in China on most shops can be…

One simple question: will you ever complete the API with the endpoints your members want / need to have or will you leave everything as it is?

I love the idea of Post before Registering, but it really needs to have a captcha on it. I'm getting flooded with spam links and having to kill those posts.

I just added a bunch of subforums at people's request.... and well, that sucked. Now if you go to the main forum most of the screen is the sub forums. Is there a way to get rid of this? Option to hide them and have a Subforum menu block would be good. Foster's plug in seems to only work to 4.3.

When upgrading IPB the webserver will return for every page requested during the upgrade. With Invision Community v4.4.3 that page is returned with Status: 200 OK This is a problem because web crawlers like GoogleBot visiting any page while the upgrade is going on will index these "update in progress" pages instead of the actual content (I guess it's the same issue when an admin manually disables the site via Settings -> General Configuration -> Site Online). Best practice is to reply with 503 Temporarily Not available instead of 200 OK when replying with such an "site is offline / update is going on" page.

What if you could use swear words on the forum, but you had to pay for it somehow? Cost you rep, or points in a point system. Hell it could even accumulate in a swear jar as an invoice and if you reach a certain amount you have to pay to unlock your account.... LOL, that would be hilarious.

I just noticed something on my own forum that I haven't noticed before, and I came here to see if the same thing was happening, and it is. See below... The styling on the last page number is off on screen sizes below 767px.

Does anyone know where to get a theme similar to the Stackoverflow site? It would be very interesting for IPB to offer something like this (even if it's an alternative), because Stackverflow today is the most successful Q&A platform, being an extremely light and fast web site.

The 4.3-style announcements look really nice, and a big improvement over the earlier versions. However, I still have a couple of issues with them that I think would be super easy to solve and would make them much better: Allow announcements without a description, or that link somewhere else. Spoiler alert: you want this too - on this site you have a commented out banner which is exactly what I'm asking for: (but with the option of it just being a link to somewhere else too). This would be used for things that don't need any more content, like "Site maintenance tomorrow", and references to other areas, such as the rules. Make the announcement areas more con…

I've just reviewed my Privacy Policy for one of my site's where I added Commerce some months after GDPR day last year. I enabled Stripe and PayPal options for donations, I don't do subscriptions yet. I noticed that the third party section doesn't include the payment gateways with links to their relevant Privacy Policies as it does with other third party services such as: Perhaps they could be added? However I did notice the Invisible reCAPTCHA bit changed automatically after I switched from the V2 older tickbox method. So thank you for implementing that!
