Hi, is there a way to use the media tags {media="1"} to insert images into forum posts? And is there an image upload available for the editor which isn't the file attachment at the bottom, so people can place images into posts amongst the text? Thanks.

OK - I've upgraded my plan now and am trying to configure this. I think it's probably well beyond my technical ability if I'm honest. I'm starting to see how it works but the template for this is nothing like the live demo - a million miles away. Is there any chance of the template files from the live demo? I don't have any hope of editing all the CSS files to make it look passable. The key information for each record is showing in the world's tiniest font and it all just looks really unusable and ugly right now. Help!

Hi there, I'm about to bring in a group of people who are all creatives with their own individual Patreon accounts. I'm looking for advice on how to support this group well and promote their creatve work. I have setup some custom profile fields for them to add their websites to, including Patreon. Is there a way to ONLY make those extra profile fields available to a specific membership group? Is there a way to create a graphic badge for them which says something like "MY PATREON", which would be a graphic badge under their profile icon, and which is clickable to take people direct to their site? I've got it set now so people can see the text link to their sites, but I'm guessing some of them will have really long urls which will look messy if it's just text, and it would be better if it was a nice looking badge instead of the text link. Hi, is it possible to create a mini-website for some stand alone content which essentially acts outside of the main site, using the page builder, but leaving out the main navigation? Essentially landing pages, but with their own identity.

It might be broken for me because I'm setup for amazon.co.UK. Could that make a difference?

Brilliant - mystery solved! Thank you. She told me she was using the 10 digit ISBN. I had told her to copy and paste it from Amazon. Turns out she's been entering the ISBN from the back of her physical books!!! So I was double checking using the ISBN-10 from Amazon, thinking that's what she was doing, she though was entering either the whole ISBN-13 or taking off the first three numbers of it, straight from the back of her books. Ok - new issue discovered which is only apparently affecting one of my users. I've logged in as them and it's not affecting me when I am acting as them, but for her it is doing it every time. She is using the Submit Book button, and entering a legitimate 10-digit ISBN (I know it's legit because when I try it it works fine). The books autofills for her on the submit screen, and she submits it. What's really weird is these are meant to be linking to amazon.co.uk, but the first line in the error message here says barnesandnoble.com. I've asked her to try this in Edge and Firefox as well as her usual Chrome. I've asked her to check Chrome is updated. Only other thing I can tell you is she is using BitDefender. I asked her to turn that off and try again. Anything she tries from her computer ends up with the same error message being generated. When I sign in as her on my computer everything works fine. Any ideas at all?

I've called this Databases and Tiers, but I might have also called it Databases and Tears! I understand there's been a recent change to the way in which the tiered pricing structure works at Invision. I've just started a brand new site which I'm confident is going to grow rapidly simply because it is serving a clearly focussed niche group (church ministers in the UK), for which there is nothing like this provision out there. ... and I have a very strong network of people to tap into and they're all excited about it. So here I am beavering away at building the site. I start on the free trial and check out the functionality etc etc. Confident it's the right platform for me I buy in at the lowest tier because I'm not making any money from this site yet - hopefully I will, but not yet and not for a while. So I'm busy customising it and buying in some apps from the marketplace when suddenly I realise that some of these customisations aren't working. It takes me a good while before I realise it's all down to one thing ... Database access. On the Creator package (lowest tier) full database access isn't available. So there's a bunch of applications in the marketplace which just don't work on that tier ... only that's about as transparent and obvious as a needle in a haystack. Sure, if you know what you're looking for you can see that maybe it's mentioned, but so vaguely and not in any kind of way that a beginner like me could be expected to understand that it feels like a con. So I look at the Creator Pro tier and think about upgrading. It's another $70 a month!!! $70 just so I get to customise the databases a bit. That's almost double what is already a brilliant, but expensive platform to commit to. Things I have absolutely no interest in ... EVERYTHING ELSE ON THE CREATOR PRO LIST! Don't care about coming soon Live Topics. Nope. Don't care about SSO. Don't care about API access or Live who's viewing. I just want to be able to customise some layouts a little bit to make it look nicer using the add-ons I foolishly bought on the marketplace thinking they'd work just fine ... because who knew "Full Page Builder Access" meant the same thing as vague mentions of "databases" on the app pages? So this is me asking the guys at invision to think again about their tiered structure. I know this is a costly and brilliant platform to build, run and maintain. I know that. I'm hugely grateful to you for it. BUT ... is there honestly such a significant impact on your servers and services that pushing "Full Page Builder Access" into the Creator tier isn't possible, or indeed sensible? No way I can afford to cough up an additional $70 a month, I can barely afford the $99 a month I'm already paying. When I was on the trial I understood that full page builder access was part of the deal. That's what I thought I was getting when I signed up. Not because I'd read the words anywhere, just because that's what I had in the trial I had. If you can't push page builder down into the bottom tier, can you at least give a justifiable reason why not? Again, not interested in all the other stuff in the Creator Pro tier, just databases. Would it really be problematic to you - given how this move has screwed up app compatibility in the marketplace - and given how your trial period version includes it and then you do a bait and switch when someone buys in ... to include it as standard on all packages? Ok - I'll be honest, one of the things - as a new person learning a complex ecosystem, language and framework here, I know all these things make sense to you long term users ... but there is ZERO transparency on this in the marketplace. It may sound really dumb of me, but there's virtually nothing to tell me that buying a certain app REQUIRES the next tier up from what I have. This is an annoyance factor. I love the platform, I really do ... but I don't love the fact that databases are ONLY properly available on the Creator Pro package, or that certain items in the marketplace NEED Creator Pro to function, or that I can buy items which are not actually compatible with my tier of product. That side of things, from a newbie's point of view, is a bit of a mess.

Hi - newish user here! I bought this add on a week or so ago, when I think I was still on my trial account (maybe - can't honestly remember). I'm now on a paid package on the lowest tier which I know doesn't have database access (which is tbh hugely annoying). This add on WAS working just fine, but today I got a red flag on my applications tab and went looking to see what it was for. The only thing I can see is that this add on is now greyed out for some reason, but nothing further to tell me why. Could it be that I don't have database access anymore? I upgraded over a week ago from the trial to the paid package. But only today has this application warning flag appeared. Any thoughts or pointers?

Dang 😞 Would it be worth you making that clear on the product listing? Forgive me if it already is. And has there been a change to the package tiers at IPS that you know of? I'm sure I had database access a week ago. But maybe I'm wrong. I'm on the first tier package. Perhaps it changed when I went from trial to paid. I don't know.

In my ACP my Pages > Databases link is greyed out and it says I don't have access on my plan. Is this a problem for setting up SuperDirectory? And is this a recent change? I'm sure I DID have access to Databases last week.

Hi there, I'm looking in the ACP for a master list of tags which have been entered so far. I'm using an open tag setup. I know I've got a couple of tags with typos already. Is there a place where I can go and edit those out? Thanks.

Hi there - I've been trying to add some books from Amazon which only have an ASIN number, not an ISBN number. They're not importing. Is there a difference between ASIN and ISBN? I thought they might be the same. Any plans to be able to include ASIN if this is a feature issue which is missing?
