Senior2323 reacted to Marc Stridgen in When updating, what happens to incompatible themes?
If you have edited a template, just for that (presumably globalTemplate) then you would just revert that theme, and reapply the code

Thank you. My theme is very basic, it's the default factory Invision theme that I have customized by adding the ad code from my ad publisher. So I'm not sure if I will need to re-customize a new default theme or if I'll be able to somehow update my theme and keep the ad code, or will have to simply reapply the ad code?

The above is correct, however I would say it terms of number 1 there, it atcually depends even on a large upgrade. If you havent change much for example, it may be a case of just reverting a template and re-adding your changes. If its a custom theme written by someone else, you really should refer to that person for advice before you upgrade

You should always upgrade in the following order: IPS software > custom theme (and other third-party stuff). You will get the incompatible message during the first step.
1. Themes will stay "accessible" to be updated or removed. For minor upgrades it will be sufficient to use "Upload new version" feature. But in case of large upgrades such as 4.4 to 4.7, you should do a fresh installation of your custom theme.
2. That would be the theme currently set as "default". For safety reasons, I always swap a default theme from my custom theme to the Default theme before upgrading. Then after upgrading I upload a new version of my theme and set it back to "default".

I want to update however it says some of my themes are incompatible. I understand that I'll have to incorporate my changes in the new theme.
What I'm trying to understand is:
After I update, what will happen to my incompatible themes, will I continue to be able to access their code? After I update, which theme will automatically be applied by default? A new default theme, or the current incompatible theme? Thanks!

Senior2323 reacted to David N. in More customizable canned answers
You're right I had private messages in mind. For example I use canned answers to encourage people to set up a profile picture (and explain to them how to do it). But I keep having to type the title manually, and copy paste their name manually inside my canned answer (to make it more personal).

Agreed, it would be nice to have the report button back on member's profiles. I recently had my forum upgraded as it was sadly overdue. Now I see the report button is no longer on profiles. I would ask that this feature be added back in the next update. Thanks in advance for considering this request.

It would be useful to expand the topic reporting function for user profiles as well.
Very often lately IPS Spam errs and gets numerous spammers to sign up, but it errs really often...
Even now a spammer has registered on this forum who has been following me, the report button would have been really helpful to alert you of this unwelcome user

You don't need to edit file, go to your ACP -> System -> Settings -> Advanced Configuration -> Friendly URLs
At here you can edit your urls.

It supports Youtube, Daiymotion, Picasa, Vimeo, and MP4. And uses Videojs for the player.

Does this work with custom media embed codes, or only the ones supported as part of Videobox?

Sorry, I missunderstood The video in Video Info is a custom field that I call "trailer"
Try to create a custom field:
Type: Text
Description: Enter youtube ID, Eg: teNcFh89H7o
Format:
<div class="video-container"> <iframe src="//www.youtube.com/embed/{content}" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> </div> Save.
When user gives it the youtube ID, it will show youtube player.
(Remember edit your Catergories and choose that custom field to active it)
