error on email address search in AdminCP
Larry Kachadorian replied to Larry Kachadorian's topic in Technical Problems
Disregard ... noticed update and applied ... all working as designed .... 🙂 -

Sorry, have ton of real life issues to deal with right now ... can we put this on hold until I can canvass the appropriate staff and check each and every permission ?
-
The initial screen shot posted above is from https://www.bmwsporttouring.com/modcp/members/ So far , of those I've contacted who have access to ModCP , all get the same message Consequently I have no example of someone not seeing this error. Its quite possible that the error is because we have the warning system turned off ... but the error seemed to be permission based rather than "no data" which is what caught our eye.
-
Yes, you asked if we had disabled access the to module .. the answer is Admins and Mods have full access ... nothing for those groups has been disabled.
-
Yes, in both groups no access for admin or mod disabled
-
As an unrestricted Admin, not sure why we get this error page when selecting either of the indicated links clicking either results in ...

I am a CiC account and yes, latest versions of all ... The results are the same with the Standard theme. I also have an issue noted in the Ignore Topics fourm where the same answers apply. As noted there, I'll PM the admin account.

I am a CiC account and although we normally use one of Ehren's IPSfocus themes, I still have retained the Default unmodified theme. However using the standard IPS theme, the behavior is unchanged ...still get the same "page does not exist" when trying to stop ignoring a topic. You may have also seen in you support forum for Ignore Forums I'm also having an issue there. The behavior as noted there is also unchanged using the standard theme ... no red button. Both the plug in and the app are showing in my AdminCP as the current versions and I have also cleared all cache and retested ... no change in behavior. I'll PM the admin account

Update button now showing in AdminCP ... ran it, and version is now correct

What is the Invision policy regarding file backup / potential restore for Standard Cloud Communities ? Thanks

Finally upgraded to IPS 4.7.4 and updated to Ignore Topics 2.4.3. When clicking on Stop Ignoring I get the following error
-
Have upgraded finally to IPS 4.7.4 and then to 1.07 of Ignore Forums. The upgrade seemed to complete, however the Red Ignore Forum button is not there config with only one forum that can not be ignored
-
So I guess the question is ... would running the update again do any harm or would it possibly then show the correct version now that the MySQL error has been resolved ?
-
Update ... MySQL auto fix apparently completed successfully Clicking again on the Marketplace tab rather than the App name still goes to marketplace and again offers the upgrade option ...
-
No indication on the app overview that there's an upgrade available? Yes no indication ...interestingly there wasn't before or after the IPS upgrade ... I knew the update existed and clicked on the app in AdminCP and it went to Marketplace and offered the update which I did ...
-
I updated today from 1.3.7 after finally updating to IPS 4.7 (we'd held off for a long time to let the PHP issue settle) And did notice that although the Community Map update seemed to complete it still shows the older version in AdminCP....
-
saw this after the upgrade in AdminCP under MySQL errors, and was unsure if it was actually safe to click auto fix ... ??

Error on Upgrade. Cloud Community
Larry Kachadorian replied to Larry Kachadorian's topic in Technical Problems
Ok using your link it appears to be working ... I was hesitant to use the browser that initiated the error ... that apparently was causing the lack of response from another one. So far ... so good ... update appears to be continuing normally Thanks ! -
Error on Upgrade. Cloud Community
Larry Kachadorian replied to Larry Kachadorian's topic in Technical Problems
We have two accounts one which we use as a "dev site" I updated last night and had no issue ... bmwsporttouring.com is our production site and it is definitely not reachable as I can not log in with a different browser ... any attempt doesn't even return a response at one point I was able to get ... -
Error on Upgrade. Cloud Community
Larry Kachadorian replied to Larry Kachadorian's topic in Technical Problems
I tried that after the error and get another error which I would do but I can not move past it. I can only move to the admin cp using the back button on the browser, but once there and option returns the above error -

I realize you're most likely swamped with issues across many of your offerings due to the PHP8 disaster .... But having said that, what is the best way for clients to know when their specific resource (such as Ignore Forums) will be compatible with IPS 4.7.2.1 ? Will you be sending an email to registered clients on a per app/plugin basis or should clients simply check the marketplace item to see if it has updated to show version compatibility ? Fortunately I saw all the upgrade issues prior to doing the IPS update and held off ... so we're in no big hurry as we're in a holding pattern until the dust settles ... just a matter of knowing what to expect. Thanks

Test / Dev site capability for cloud based communities
Larry Kachadorian replied to Larry Kachadorian's topic in Feedback
We'd have to work around the custom issue 'cause $129 is a non - starter. However the main issue for us is unless we want to keep test/dev by paying more its almost as if we end up "frozen" in the last configuration for several iterations until it becomes apparent via the forums that no issues exist. Because experience has shown that not all upgrades go smoothly and who wants their site to go down unexpectedly with no way to revert back. I don't know for sure, but my suspicion is that even thought there are supposed to be back ups of cloud accounts , having Invision support actually restore from a backup given a bad upgrade would be problematic at best and impossible at worst ... and consequently a huge disservice to clients. And even if restored, how do you explain to site members you're running a professional site with a professional vendor when things go suddenly wonky and then , hopefully, reappear ? @Mark H comments on backups and restore ? -
Test / Dev site capability for cloud based communities
Larry Kachadorian replied to Larry Kachadorian's topic in Feedback
@Mark H So, the issue here is a 63% increase in cost ($30 to $49) for no additional value given our use case. Is there no chance then that Invision might at least entertain a unique cost option with unique restrictions that would insure minimal impact to the cloud environment ... you can see our minimal usage at https://sportbmw.ipbhost.com/
