Wonster reacted to Fosters in Referrals - Support topic
I have posted the suggestions which make sense to my tracker http://addons.invisionzone.com/projects/project/16-referrerrs/?do=issues
Why would you want to turn this off and where else would somebody set the referrer? This application wouldn't make any sense without the referrer field.

Long story short: location was added when the app was already in an advanced stage of the development and the way IPS built the GeoLocation stuff, a complete rewrite of the entire category stuff (script and templates) was required, so not to further delay the release, which was already quite late, decided to leave this for a further version, probably in 4.2.
Well, that's not the main porpose of this app. Change the text is easy, since the app is fully translateable... but I'm not sure if it will fit your needs in that manner.

Since installing this, and vehemently advertising its features to my users, I'm yet to get a single person to actually register from invitations... while countless have found us through other means.
Email isn't the best solution for this. Please consider adding referral link functionality to this plugin, or even as a separate addon to this plugin which costs money on its own. Gamers and many other niches don't actively use email. They use Skype, Steam, and other social platforms like that. Having a referral link users can generate to invite others would make this hook so much more worth it.

Having tabs in the user menu for each "sort" option seems awkward. Users will need some kind of sort tool if this plugin is going to be a robust member list.
Can have location, post count etc plus custom profile fields.
Here are some examples of member search. (and member browse)

You either posting in the wrong support topic, or this app doesn't function the way you think.
The members location will not be presented without their consent, meaning they would have to add them selves to the map using the "Add Location" button above the map. And it will not be limited by who's online and who's not. See this site for a real world example.
And entering an API key from Google is no good. That will not work. Read the description on that setting again to see where you get your API key from.
Could you send me the URL to your site? Think the CSS for the map is missing. Going to ACP > Support and tick "Something isn't working correctly" should rebuild the theme caches.
