Jim M's post in TypeError in System Log was marked as the answer
Please note that Gary is not an Invision Power Services employee. He is a client. I am sorry that you do not appreciate the new support workflow but you have not lost any support 🙂 . The same flow would have happened here but I can certainly pass along your concerns to our management.
I have transferred your issue to a ticket because it will require further digging by our team to see what is happening in this particular topic here to cause this issue.
Please watch your email for further correspondence.

Jim M's post in Deleted attachments by mistake, is there a way to get them back? was marked as the answer
Unfortunately, once the delete process is initiated, the only way to recover would be from a full backup. As the system will process the deletion immediately. Even if it's available via existing attachments, the system will remove it in the processed background task.

Jim M's post in Some uploaded images exceed max pixel size was marked as the answer
There should not be orphaned images. The software will delete attachments once content has been deleted.
The only way would be to create a new folder and then change the file storage configuration to move to that new folder, thus it will only move items it is aware of.

That is the copyright line in ACP -> System -> General Configuration.

Jim M's post in Best practices for selling access to content (potentially hundreds of items) was marked as the answer
Currently, permissions/access to items are handled by groups.
With the exception of the Downloads application, where a user can pay to download a specific file/item, most purchases/subscriptions in Invision Community focus around the ability to gain access to X categorization of content/area/etc...
Good example in terms of courses might be a Beginner, Intermedia, and Advanced subscription level and then an All level. That's 4 different groups which would gain access to either segments of content or all the content. It is not really advisable to do 1:1 relationships as that can create an unnecessary amount of groups.

Jim M's post in Detailed report export for Payments > Transactions? was marked as the answer
I'm afraid, we do not currently offer a means to export transactions in the software itself.
There is a summary invoice export available in ACP -> Statistics -> Sales -> Income -> Total Invoice -> click "Show as Table" icon on the right-hand side -> Download raw CSV.

Jim M's post in How to change Number ID based URL was marked as the answer
The number is an identification for the software to display the data required, it is how the software knows to go find the content you're requesting. I'm afraid, it is not possible to remove it.

Jim M's post in New member validation (email + admin validation) not working? was marked as the answer
In our Spam Defense settings, you are setting it up that every member needs to be manually reviewed prior to continuing on with validation settings. You will want to change this in ACP -> Members -> Spam Prevention -> Spam Defense.
We recommend the following flow:

Jim M's post in I can't delete a topic was marked as the answer
Once you hit save, it displays the following warning:
In order to enable this setting you must make the .../applications/core/interface/task/task.php file executable (i.e. chmod 0777). Please ensure you have done that. If you have questions, please contact your hosting provider for assistance.

Jim M's post in Newsletters and opt-in options? was marked as the answer
This is available in a few areas:
On registration a user can opt in or out. Through the widget, the user can opt in or out. Then in Account Settings -> Notification Settings -> Newsletter. Then, obviously, when the user receives a bulk mailing, there is an unsubscribe option. -
Jim M's post in Password requirements dont work properly was marked as the answer
The language is very secure that is why 😄
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention! I can confirm this should be further reviewed and I have logged an internal bug report for our development team to investigate and address as necessary, in a future maintenance release.

Jim M's post in Error 500 When Trying To Newly Install was marked as the answer
Would ensure you're using PHP 8.1 and then also check to ensure that your server is inline with the requirements checker:
If all is well, what Randy said will be required

Could you please clear your browser’s cache and try again? It may have been a brief issue but your browser has since cached the reply.

Jim M's post in Questions about Invision Community Classic was marked as the answer
Apologies, our sales department is a little backed up at the moment. Looks like someone responded to your initial concerns though.
Classic is all our applications, hosted on your own machine. Classic does not include Courses, our "live" feature items, video encoding, and some other features which are cloud only at this time.
You would need to have an active license but you will gain access to version 5, at this time.
It is Cloud only at this time. There are no plans to change this.
To gain access to software upgrades, support, the spam defense system, GEO IP address, etc... requires an active license.
Yes, that is a Core feature.

You can make a test installation of your community for you and your staff to test by appending -TESTINSTALL to the end of your license key. You can read more about it here:

Jim M's post in Fatal Error after upgrade to 4.7.16 was marked as the answer
The crontask is still set to use PHP 7, you'll need to change it to using PHP 8.1. Go to ACP -> System -> Advanced Configuration and copy the cron task provided there to your cron setup on your server. If you are unsure how to perform this, please contact your hosting provider.

Jim M's post in One of my members said there is a reaction limit. How do I make it unlimited? was marked as the answer
ACP > Members > Groups > edit group > Social > Reactions. Ensure there’s no limit and then repeat for each group 🙂.

Jim M's post in Adding a MX record affect Invision Experience? was marked as the answer
You're all good. This would not interfere with emails going out of your community. If you use our Invision Community mail sending feature, emails are not sent from your domain. If you use a third-party email service, you will need to keep those records in place in addition with any you add from Google.
With the above in mind, MX records are for email receiving, rather than sending.
We can assist you in adding those records to your DNS which is hosted here with us. Just simply submit a ticket 🙂 .

If you can access the ACP, verify you haven’t blocked your IP address in ACP > Members > Ban Settings.

Jim M's post in Permissions for Commerce menu items was marked as the answer
I would check the application and module permissions first, as that is most likely what you are describing here as the group would not have access to the app/module in question. Can read about this at the link below:

Jim M's post in HTLM Bulk Mail not sending was marked as the answer
Long as it sends, it sends. There would be nothing on our end prevent it.
