  1. Jim M's post in Activity Stream: Member configured default stream as homepage was marked as the answer
Unfortunately, only the All Activity Stream can be set as the "home page." Currently, this cannot be configured to anything else.
  2. Jim M's post in Run into an upgrade problem - forum down! was marked as the answer
You do not have the MySQLi PHP extension loaded which is required. You should contact your hosting provider or system administrator to ask for it to be installed.
  3. Jim M's post in Redirect to custom login page was marked as the answer
This is not something which we offer in the default software and usually is done by a custom SSO solution to complete that process.
  4. Jim M's post in question about product's initial price and renewal was marked as the answer
    That would be correct, yes.
  5. Jim M's post in 4.7 upgrade problem was marked as the answer
Please ensure your row format is dynamic for all tables. If you are unsure how to do this, please contact your hosting provider.
  6. Jim M's post in Registration on the site does not work was marked as the answer
Glad to hear it is working for you now.
  7. Jim M's post in No plugins listed on plugins page was marked as the answer
You’ll want to also check ACP > Systems > Applications.
  8. Jim M's post in Cancel an upgrade was marked as the answer
You will need to restore the files from a backup you took prior to starting the upgrade attempt. As the upgrader has not been ran, the database should be fine.
  9. Jim M's post in How to translate "terms & conditions" words? was marked as the answer
Can use the language system to change any string in the system:

  10. Jim M's post in Granting Badges more then Once was marked as the answer
A badge in the Achievements system can only be assigned once. If you would like to see this in a future release, I would recommend posting this in our Feature Suggestion forum. Otherwise, yes, this would require an add-on/customization to get what you are looking for here.
  11. Jim M's post in 4.7.0 Update Breaks Pages was marked as the answer
Sorry for the inconvenience. I have resync'd your license data in ACP -> System -> License Key. This should be resolved for you.
  12. Jim M's post in Change Licence URL was marked as the answer
You will need to remove the redirect from your current URL to your new URL in order to use the reset tool. This will only need to be done temporarily so our tool can see that our software is not present any longer at your current URL.
  13. Jim M's post in Marketplace not recognizing purchase was marked as the answer
Please ensure that you're logged into the same account which has purchased the add-on from our Marketplace and is authorized for your community/license.
  14. Jim M's post in Spam Defence was marked as the answer
Yes, the Spam Defense system should check social logins as well.
  15. Jim M's post in The app store often doesn't work was marked as the answer
You will need to reach out to your hosting provider then as it is having an issue communicating with the Marketplace server.
  16. Jim M's post in Alert for guests was marked as the answer
It is currently not available as it requires a member id currently to track if it's been viewed, among some other technical items. You can certainly add this to our Feature Suggestion if you wish to propose this for a future release.
With that said, you can have Announcements, Guest Privacy & TOS bar, and custom blocks tailored to guests if there is messaging you wish to get across.
  17. Jim M's post in Editing the footer notice 'I accept' was marked as the answer
Please check the "Guest Options" in ACP -> System -> Terms & Privacy Policy
  18. Jim M's post in 4.7 Beta 10 Error Message was marked as the answer
Should be good now. Sorry for the inconvenience.
  19. Jim M's post in Amazon S3 was marked as the answer
Typically, the reason people switch to Amazon S3 is to overtake their storage solution. Meaning, they don't have the local space, want a better/lower cost solution, or need to hold it locally. Should you wish to move away from Amazon S3, you would simply move it back to your local server via the software or one of the many tools out there.
There are no means in the default software to configure both S3 and local storage for the same files.
  20. Jim M's post in Why has “Powered by…” suddenly appeared? was marked as the answer
I would suggest changing to an unmodified theme and seeing if that helps. If it doesn't, please check in ACP -> System -> License Key to refresh your license key then test again.
We will need to investigate your installation if you continue to have issues past that so please add your access details in the Client Area:
We would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section.
We look forward to further assisting you.

  21. Jim M's post in Trending content widget was marked as the answer
Trending Content is a new feature. We'll release more information about it shortly 🙂 .
  22. Jim M's post in Can you put a thread on ignore? was marked as the answer
This is not something which can be accomplished via our software and would require a third party application/plugin.
  23. Jim M's post in Unable to proceed with upgrade was marked as the answer
    Thank you for updating those.
Did you manually attempt to update your tables to UTF8MB4? Unfortunately, there are a lot of weird collations in your database. I would suggest running our conversion if you attempted this manually.
  24. Jim M's post in New register by Google data was marked as the answer
There are some issues with the registration process and subscriptions which has been fixed in 4.7:
"Fixed some issues that can occur when requiring a subscription or product to be purchased during registration."
I am unable to reproduce this on 4.7.
  25. Jim M's post in No Background Tasks Running - Expected at times? Or indication of problem? was marked as the answer
"No background tasks running" under "Background Processes" in the ACP -> System -> Dashboard, would be expected if you have no background tasks in your queue. This will happen at times and is not indication of an issue.
If there is an error with background tasks, you would receive a warning in the ACP notification system.
