  1. Jim M's post in Error EX1366 when adding new forum was marked as the answer
Sorry for the delay, however, as it is the weekend, it may take longer for a response. As mentioned in the email we sent: I have escalated your request to that department and they will provide further assistance as quickly as possible. Due to the advanced nature of your request, please note that it may take longer than usual to fully address your concern. Please also note that advanced support is only available Monday through Friday. I apologize in advance for this delay.
  2. Jim M's post in Preserving Topics/Posts was marked as the answer
Sorry to hear you're needing to close. We can provide you with a full backup of your community which would contain a database and attachments/uploads backup.
The content of your topics/posts/the whole community would be contained in the database backup. If you're looking to just back these up, this is sufficient. However, if you're looking to extract this information, you may need to hire a SQL professional to do so if you are not comfortable working in SQL.
If you want us to generate you the backup, please let me know and I can convert this to a ticket to obtain some verification info which is required 🙂 .
  3. Jim M's post in Unable to add signature for new member was marked as the answer
The group this user is in has "Maximum lines of text" set to 0. You would need to increase that to a number larger than 0 if you wish this group to have a signature.

  4. Jim M's post in Selling Advertising Space was marked as the answer
Currently, Commerce bills advertising based on the ad. Therefore, in this context, they would currently require 5 ads and pay 5 times. Doing what you want here may require either manual billing on your side in commerce and manual ad handling or customization of the software.
Of course, if you wish to see this in a future release, please leave your suggestion in our official Feature Suggestion forum.
  5. Jim M's post in Add a Block or Advertisement In Article was marked as the answer
Template code cannot be inserted into the HTML editor, it has to be specifically in our PHTML templates (Pages templates, blocks, theme templates, etc...) to execute that.
Theoretically, I suppose, you could create a custom PHP block with your advertisement custom location template code in it and then use the external embed code in your article.
Here a guide on using blocks "externally", it will generate a Javascript code and HTML for you to embed where you want it:

Alternatively, an approach which is a little more rigid but would automatically insert it into your articles, would be to include it in your Pages template for records.

For something easier, I would suggest making your suggestion in our Feature Suggestion forum.
  6. Jim M's post in How to put new users into a temporary group other than "Members" was marked as the answer
Please be advised I have moved this to a ticket. Typically, the advice here is to move the users from one group to another on our Cloud. This would put you in the driver seat and the best way to do this management. However, the footprint of your community is rather large so on occasion we can get around this.
  7. Jim M's post in Refused to frame google.com was marked as the answer
This is set by the website you're attempting to embed in the iFrame. Their headers on their website have: x-frame-options: DENY
Therefore, you can't set it in an iframe.
  8. Jim M's post in Make Community VIEW ONLY? was marked as the answer
Sorry, the only way would be disabling all permissions for these items you're looking to prevent.
  9. Jim M's post in Manage Pages/Bloacks was marked as the answer
Managing blocks is all or nothing, I’m afraid. Please feel free to post your suggestion in our Feature Suggestion forum though if you want to see this a in a future release
  10. Jim M's post in Red numerical notification badge in AdminCP was marked as the answer
Unfortunately, this is not something which I can see on your community's ACP. Was it resolved? However, it usually will indicate an application which needs upgrading.
  11. Jim M's post in Commerce Item Description and image was marked as the answer
The "Product Information" is the "Description" on the Store Settings tab:

Then the "Images" field underneath are the images that show there.

You can read more about setting up Products in this guide:

  12. Jim M's post in 500 error when attempting to upgrade was marked as the answer
Your theme or third party applications/plugins are not compatible with PHP 8, you will want to disable these while you investigate which one it is.
  13. Jim M's post in How to develop addons as a cloud customer? was marked as the answer
Sorry, as we do not allow access to the source files or the files on the server for our Cloud customers, it is not possible to run developer mode on our Cloud (nor would you want to as it is not suited for production environments). To develop custom applications/plugins, it would currently require a self-hosted license and files to develop on an installation separate from our Cloud.
  14. Jim M's post in How to purchase IP.Board addons and themes? was marked as the answer
Those in the future who encountered this should double check they are logged into their client account. If you just purchased or renewed on an existing account, signing out and in usually triggers the system to do a refresh.
  15. Jim M's post in Is there any simple way to add a page to my forums? was marked as the answer
Sorry, the only way natively through our software to create a page would be through our Pages application.
  16. Jim M's post in 503 Service Temporarily Unavailable messages becoming more frequent.... was marked as the answer
Please upgrade your community to the latest release there are fixes in place to help prevent this. Please ensure that all your third-party applications/plugins and theme are compatible with PHP 8 and the latest release prior to upgrading. If they have no upgrade path to be compatible with PHP 8, you will need to uninstall them before the upgrade. Once you have upgraded, please do not enable any third-party applications/plugins which are not compatible with PHP 8 as this will bring down your community.
  17. Jim M's post in Show some text on articles was marked as the answer
This would require some form of customization to do this. It is not something which is natively available in the Forums application.
  18. Jim M's post in Renewing an expired subscription product was marked as the answer
Renewals always happen unless a user cancels or it expires. Automatic payment would only happen if the user has a payment method on file that is capable of automatic payment.
  19. Jim M's post in Upgrade failed, forum down. was marked as the answer
Glad to hear you were able resolve your issue.
  20. Jim M's post in Disabling Emails was marked as the answer
I'm afraid, there would not be a way to undo all notifications for emails, the user would need to remove those. However, you can change it so that moving forward this won't happen by changing your notification settings in ACP -> Members -> Notifications. You then would want to click "Reset members to default preferences" button.
You would not want to disable emails completely if your community is still operating, there are things like password reset emails, etc... which go out by email.
  21. Jim M's post in Bulk unhiding member posts was marked as the answer
Unfortunately, there are no means to unhide in bulk. If you would like to see this in a future release, please feel free to leave a suggestion for this in our Feature Suggestions forum.
  22. Jim M's post in Update market place applications error was marked as the answer
This is a permissions issue on your server with the tmp directory. Please contact your hosting provider or server administrator for assistance.
  23. Jim M's post in License key expiry date based on 1st use. was marked as the answer
Sorry, this is not currently possible to expanded logic like that without some customization.
  24. Jim M's post in Page Builder Mode not working was marked as the answer
Please ensure they have the moderator permission “can manage sidebar?”
  25. Jim M's post in Developer Mod Cache Quick Edit was marked as the answer
If the CSS changes are in your application/plugin, you will simply want to clear cache in ACP -> Support -> Clear System Cache.
If you are modifying a theme, you would want to use designer's mode rather than develop mode as developer's mode is not meant for theme modification as it uses an unmodified theme.
