I have prepared a new version with the following features:

• Widget to display verified members in the sidebar
• Change the Icon that will be displayed next to verified members
• Change primary and secondary group of a member

I will finish the new version hopefully during the next week.

I am sorry but the intention of the plugin has been to display a checkmark icon next to the username if a member is verified how you know it from social platforms like Facebook or Youtube. In my opinion it doesn't make sense to implement other Icons next to the verification Icon with a customized state. There must be "rules" whether to display another icon or not. How do you want to define these rules? And where?

My member's don't really like the medals & trophies idea i have presented them

So what i was thinking, maybe you could add the option for Admins/owners to add like 1 or 2 more icons like the check mark......

But only these next ones will, like a Star, a trophy, or gamepad, something for meaning Partnered

I was thinking that for you to maybe do this, maybe use the fa-icons...even let us be able to choose what icons we want to use

If it was up to me to choose the number of max symbols to show in banner besides the check mark, like maybe a max of 5?

All these should be able to be shown if member has earned them

I'm asking this, because i actually have use for them now, have a plan for them

Sorry for my delayed answer. I am currently not at home and very busy. I am not sure if I will implement this because it does not belong to the verification process or the original purpose of the plugin. What you need would be another plugin with that options. Or do you think it would be great for others to have these options? I am not sure about that.

Hey, thanks for that. I looked it up and that seems to be a community error: after disabling / uninstaling the cache isn't cleared. If I uninstall the application and remove all files from the cache directory (datastore/*) everything is working. I am not sure if I should clear the cache completely after disabling my application. In the past it has not been necessary. Maybe a programmer can give a short comment on that.

No problem but I updated my forum to 4.2.2 right now and everythig works like a charm. Are you really sure there is a problem with my plugin and not another one? Can you explain the error you get a little bit more so I can look further?

As I said in one of my first posts: The plugin has originally been written for our fansite of a Theme Park (Phantasialand) in Germany. In our community only verified members can use specific subcategories or other special functions. If you can tell me a more specific incentive I can decide whethere to implement it or not. Generally I am open for everything.

But for now it is important to find out if there is a bug in the plugin or not. I could not find one. Maybe you can tell me more.

Thanks for that. I will take a look at that as soon as possible. Currently there is a Bug in 4.2.2. with the gallery plugin so I did not yet upgrade.

Yes, you can post your wishes here so I can implement them in the next release(es).

Attention: Version 4.1.0 will only work with 4.2 Beta or newer because of changes in the markup. Use the old version until you update to 4.2

Short information: because the application does not only support facebook it has been renamed to (itzknotty) social network widgets. I can not update my first post so that must be enough.

Hi, you can do this in your ACP. Go to the menu manager and add the link to your navigation.

One little issue that has arisen since the upgrade though:

The wrap on the title of each facebook post is not working, so I am getting it run over into the page border instead of wrapping.

 

You are right. But it's not because of a unclosed tag. I use the truncate method to display only two lines of each message. But it seems this method does not handle too long strings as you have in your 10th post. I will look for a better solution during the next few days.

Now that it is set up and working though, I have found that it does not draw the quantity of posts in Latest Facebook Posts.

I have it set to 10, but it draws only 4 or 5. Not sure what can be done about this, and not something I am overly concerned about, but I thought I would bring it to your attention.

I will look at this tomorrow and give you a feedback as soon as possible.

yes, i will post a guide for it in the next few days. But until that i will give you a short explanation:

• You have to create an app at https://developers.facebook.com/apps/
• Go to the advanced settings of your app and connect your page with it (App Page Setting).

That's all. You can debug whether your page can access relevant data or not at https://developers.facebook.com/tools/explorer/:

• Choose <appID>|<appSecret> as token (do not forget the pipe sign)
• Choose <yourPageName>/posts as Request. You should see your page's posts.

We have a Facebook page to go along with our forum, so it would be great to link the two so the feeds from the Facebook page can be accessed via a plugin.

you have to set your facebook AppID and your facebook appSecret in the admin control panel (in the community area) and then to place the widget you want at the preferred position.
