@Daniel F Sent you a DM with the IP address of the restored clone that was taken before the upgrade. Other than the IP, everything should be the same as the production db server. Thanks!

Regarding a backup, yes, I have a backup that was taken this morning but is a VM snapshot of the database server. I can spin up another VM and extract the db from it for you if needed.

Afterwards I did upgrade PHP from 7.4 to 8.1 for example, but the forum descriptions were missing before all of those items as the upgrade was done first. As part of the upgrade, the first step it gave me was to run a bunch of manual queries (which I did) before the upgrade could proceed...it was at this point that the forum descriptions disappeared but I proceeded with the upgrade anyway as I expected it to simply be a temporary state during the upgrade process.

It's odd that those entries just simply disappeared as none of the queries I was asked to run were DELETE queries.

Unfortunately disabling Redis did not resolve the issue. I have left it disabled for now. I have also updated the access information for all servers. Thanks!

Found it! Not a test instance, just an old VM that I left powered on for other things and forgot that I moved the forums off of it onto a new one. Appreciate the quick responses!!

That triggered a thought...Let me check again to make sure an older VM isn't running that I migrated from. One may have gotten lost in the shuffle in a past upgrade when I upgraded the underlying OS.

I do have a test instance but it isn't running. I have it on a VM but that VM is not running (and hasn't for a few months).

I have auto renewals for supporting membership packages and customers are being charged twice except the duplicate is only in Stripe, not in IPB. Only one transaction ID matches up with the invoice (and only one invoice is created in IPB). This leads me to having to refund the additional (non-linked) transaction within Stripe.

@Lindy Just throwing my $0.02 in there in wanting a 4.1.x UTF8 -> UTF8MB4 converter. I want to use Emojis but can't. My database is quite large as well with 1.3 million posts...several gigs in size. Looking for an official converter from Invision on this one. Help us Obi Wan Lindy!

It would be absolutely exceptional if we were given a choice in the ACP to have a user's avatar be the global representation of that user instead of the current method which is having avatar and personal photos in parallel. I, along with many others from what I gather in various posts I've found, feel that having both separated is slightly confusing to the user and really doesn't give good representation to that user. Sure, it may work better in a business environment like you guys have here, but it doesn't work well with many of our forum setups and the way they have organically grown.

This post has a solution, but obviously requires editing the source code...something that would likely be overwritten in the next minor release and every release afterward. Seems like it would be a great choice to give admins a choice of how their board is setup. Allow personal photos and avatars, or only allow avatars globally. Please find it in your hearts to make this a reality in a future release. :)
