Wasn't sure if you were aware of this or not, but apparently this isn't compatible with IPS 4.7.3 and PHP 8. I know you probably have a lot on your plate, it's just something I wanted to bring up in case you weren't aware is all.

To make the whole "Click here to see the message"? No, I've not done it but I am aware it can be done like that.

The whole system is basically all bark with no bite. A simple template change isn't going to fix that, unfortunately.

I must be mistaken then, my apologies.

I know it appeared in certain 3rd party applications, where as this one doesn't. Take the friends system I linked to earlier, in the profiles and in the widget, it certainly worked there (And is where it's really missed), that system and this online system really do work hand in hand with each other.

I wouldn't know what to send, to be honest. Unfortunately, I uninstalled the old application and with being upgraded to PHP8, it wasn't going to run without throwing a load of template errors anyway. I can't download and reinstall it because it says it's incompatible with my version of IPS, unless there is a work around to that. If there is; I'll happily see if I can switch back to PHP 7.4, reinstall it and go snap some screenshots.

Off of the top of my head?

• Profile Icons on the Activity Feed
• Pretty much the Gallery
• Club Activity and Club Members (of any given club), including the sidebar widgets
• Pretty much every application/plugin that utilizes a certain size of thumbnail (I don't recall which exactly)

As I said if there was some way I can manually inject it into a the template of anything 3rd party myself, I'd be happy and comfortable with doing that. I wouldn't want you to out of your way just on my account, if that makes any sense. Although an added suggestion I'd have is perhaps - maybe (Although the other one didn't do this, I don't think) the followers block on the profile? But again if I could inject something into my templates, I'd be happy to do that myself.

So you can add status feeds as widgets, to any page. I was referring to that. My apologies for not explaining it clearly - this is definitely my fault. But I do understand. I can't start my day without a coffee or two.

I'm not sure how the other one worked (Online Indicators) but judging from the mountains of template errors I got after I upgraded to PHP 8.0, I'd say that it was overriding the profile avatar wherever it was being displayed or something. I'm not really quite sure to be honest with you. I guess I was a little upset that this seems kind of limited in scope, in comparison, but hey, it works at least, and isn't throwing template errors. Which is a major plus.

Strange. Absolutely none of these are working for me, even on the default IPS theme. 

Edit: Oh now I posted something, it kind of works. I wish I could inject this in other places such as with the icons in the Friends application or status blocks. But other than that; seems okay! Cheers.

I'm getting quite sick of this. There is nothing in the logs to indicate anything out of ordinary. There is no reason for this what-so-ever.

I figured messaging over a year later is reasonable.

Yes, I will point out to be fair here that my test installation (hosted on the same server) - does not do this. I've already conceded that stock IPS most certainly doesn't do this. I've tested it, repeatedly. Unfortunately I can't do these kinds of experiments with my live site. Maybe I can try and clone my site to the test installation and see if I can do something there.

Happened again today at 15:09 UTC. 

No idea as to the cause. No third party modification; application or plugin seems to have any code that would suggest any interaction with the License Key, or setting the community to offline mode as far as I can see. The one that I did find before was removed when the current mod developer took over it and I had the updated version this time so it's not that.

I'm back at square one, with no idea what's causing it. The site said it was unavailable with "(OFFLINE)" appended to the title of the page. It showed a semi-broken page to members saying that the community is unavailable, and didn't show the offline message that's already in there. 

All I did was just logged into the ACP which seemed to resolve it. Didn't even say the license key was invalid. It was just offline with an error 503 to everyone but myself, as if it was in offline mode. Image settings reset, as per usual, and settings mucked around with again in the exact same fashion.

Absolutely no rhyme or reason.

Raw access logs just say that people were browsing the site and one minute it was up with HTTP Status Codes of 200, and the next, a good chunk of JS files went 404 and the site went 503. Logged into the ACP, and set the settings back to what they should be and everything is hunkydory again. 🤷‍♂️

Some of my members are reporting an issue where upon reviewing images that they've just uploaded, they have a "Plain Text Editor" which they can switch to a "Rich Text Editor" for writing up say a Character ID Profile, or something of the like. They've noticed that if you write in the plain text editor and then switch to the rich text editor the text that person wrote isn't being sent over to the rich text editor and thus, they lose everything that they typed. Which apparently isn't expected behaviour. 

On top of that if you write something in the rich text editor after that, and then 'Save Details' it doesn't save either. Which is clearly not right. Is this a bug that can be replicated elsewhere? 

Reproduction Steps:

1. Start uploading an image. 
2. When the image is uploaded, without leaving the lightbox, enter text in the description (Say: "This is text") 
3. Switch to Rich Editor via the link, see that the box is now empty.
4. Enter a new description (Say: "This is some Rich Text")
5. Save the image via the "Save Details" button.
6. Finish Uploading.

There will be no captation, no description, it's like it's completely forgotten. Although one of them is reporting that it kept everything in the simple text editor but not what they wrote in the rich text editor.

Could we have more 2FA options such as support for the YubiKey when it comes to IPS out of the box? Thank you.

Sure thing, and totally understandable and I don't exactly have a good track record of being clear and concise at the best of days. 

But basically when you had System ticked it showed up on the 'elUserStats' bar:

When you selected only Forums:

Despite the fact that this is also true:

In the past, this has worked. If nothing was selected, it'd just show up in the 'elProfileStats' bar and nowhere else. But that doesn't appear to be the case anymore.

Okay, after watching the video, I think I might have misexplained the problem I am having.

If I have none of the boxes ticked:

It should still show up in the profile's 'elProfileStats', right? As per: "Beyond selected apps, country flags will also show up in user profiles" except it doesn't.

If I tick "System" however it does show up in the profile (desirable), but it also shows the flag in front of every user listed on that profile's activity feed if they've reacted somewhere (undesirable). Say if they've liked my posts, it shows up in front of their username. That's what I had meant. 

And yes, I did try in a default unmodified theme first, it was the first thing I tried. I will try to uninstall the application and reinstall it to see if that fixes it. 

Edit: It's not working as apparently intended for you as shown by your video either. As per: "Beyond selected apps, country flags will also show up in user profiles" When you selected to show on forums only, it removed it from your profile's 'elProfileStats' bar: https://youtu.be/XoqGz00YLB0?t=88

Hey, man, I don't doubt that it works for everyone else, otherwise everyone would be complaining about it, right? Lol. Nah, this is probably an issue on my end or with my weird setup, I was just wondering if you knew why.

If by rebuild my cache, you mean go to the ACP -> Get Support -> Clear System Cache's, I've just done that, and it's made no difference. 

I'm having a weird issue. It's disappeared recently from our profiles. If I enable it to show up by ticking "System" in the settings, it shows up on the profile but it shows up in other places too. I can't seem to just enable it for the profile.

@Makoto I've also discovered another issue. 

If you've set something in the settings to require everyone to re-read the Terms of Service/Rules of your site, and they're deactivated, when they come back to the site to reactivate their account they will be stuck in an infinite loop of redirects. 

• User needs to accept the new rules before they can access the site.
• User needs to reactivate their account before they can accept the new rules.
• User needs to accept the new rules before they can reactivate their account.
• And so on...

Basically it just dies on them with an error saying "TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS".

Okay, so I found a way of manually triggering an "Invalid Licence Key" thing to show up on my test install. I can confirm that this is not something that seems to come with the vanilla software (IPS Suite on it's own), and so I want to apologise for my accusation, so I apologise, Marc. 

But I am going to get to the bottom of this, one way or another. I suspect that it is a third party application and when I find out what it is, who do I report it to?
