It's a pretty good idea. More people will opt to take showers often. Will all the smells be hosted on a central database by invision power though? I just hope we don't get cologne advertisements.
-
Wait! Was 3.0 released already? Seriously?
-
Just spacing things out again.
When we announce IPB3 officially (tomorrow) it will all go out at more or less the same time.
What do you mean by "announcing ipb3" tomorrow? -
Regarding the subscriptions manager. I'd like to point out that all of us at IPS take it very seriously and no one here wants to see it neglected. We realise that many of you monitize your forums using the SM so we have no plans to remove it or make it a poor cousin.
Our immediate plans are:
- Refactor the subscriptions manager from 2.3.6 to 3.0.0 [Done]
- Tidy up the ACP interface [Done]
- Fix reported issues with expiring subscriptions, upgrades and PayPal [Done]
- Write hooks and add settings [To Do]
- Release to QA [To Do]
- Release Beta / RC [To Do]
I spent most of last week and identified and fixed several issues. Most of which can be back-ported to 2.3.6. More details to follow.
Thank you Matt. -
The secret release date is June 29th 2012 12:54PM GMT-8.
this is for IPB 4
-
 I know people read this. Could one of the staff members reply?
-
If I recall correctly, the subscription manager does not allow you to renew your subscription until the day it expires. All of my members have found this an annoying feature because they plan on purchasing subscription in advance (thus adding to the few days they have remaining of subscription). Could it be possible to have this feature implemented?
-
I think they said it will be released with 3.0 gold. Most likely those bugs would be fixed too. Subscription manager is going to be released as a community-project afterward so more developers can work on it.
-
So how are things going in development?
-
OMG YOU COPIED ME!
-
We have an internal date we are targetting for RC2, but we're not going to announce it at this time. Suffice it to say, that date is not "1-2 months" away. But we'll see how things go in the tracker before making a final decision.
Why do these topics always come up right after a release?
So it's more like 3-4 months away?just kidding
-
Don't worry. It will be released when it's ready. It will be ready when it's released. Just wait a few more months.

O'RLY? :D I mentioned this. I think a hook(or plugin) exists already.
-
Calm down. It will probably be released in August hopefully.
I remember on the preview boards it was about January, and I said final would come out March. People jumped in and said it would come out before Feb. (If I recall correctly)
Either way, back then I guess we didn't properly estimate things or whatever.
You've waited through all these betas. What harm could a RC2 and RC3 have?
---seriously---
I know it's taking a long time. But alot of work is being put in the software. Rushing has its limits. After a while it gets distracting and irritating. Just wait a little longer.
BTW, Have you seen how big these bugs were? At least IPB had the courage to go and squish this!
That guy over there. That's probably Charles. Bfarber is hidden in one of those trees with a ray gun. Charles is getting ready to sweep up the mess after bfarber's ray gun blast. -
What if someone here finds a super duper critical bug causing a huge security breach with PHP5 and MySQL? IPB and the entire web would be doomed! :D (secret emotion:  )
-
Bashers...I'd recommend you just wait for final if you can't handle there being bugs in the software. Even then, I don't know that you'll be pleased, because I can guarantee that 3.0.0 final will have bugs in it. As will 3.0.1. As will 3.0.2. And 3.1.0. And every other release.
Is that a guarantee you can keep? :P -
admin/applications/forums/extensions/furlTemplates.php
What editing needs to be done over there? (furlTemplates.php)
I understand that I need to add mod_rewrite to .htaccess:
<IfModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /forumz/
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} !..+$
RewriteRule . /forum/index.php [L]
</IfModule>
and $INFO['use_friendly_urls'] = '1'; to conf_global.php. -
I feel neglected. :( I hope it gets out with final. That's all I care about. One of your other clients uses IPB because I referred him solely because he needed the subscription manager. It's worth thousands and thousands of dollars for him a month technically.

If this gets moved, please don't put it somewhere I don't have permission of viewing. Thanks :D

Question: When will IPB be released?
Answer: When it's ready
Question: When will it be ready?
Answer: ....
Fallacy Alert. Fallacy Alert. -
I've been waiting for quite a while for the final release, like everyone here as. My forum members have been expecting an upgrade for sometime now. My original plan was to just wait for the final version to release, but because it has already taken so long, an urgency has hit.
I'm thinking I am going to go ahead and upgrade my live forum with the RC1
Is that just stupid on my end? Or will it be alright. I'm fine with having a couple errors. I just want to be sure that I will be able to upgrade the RC's up until the final is released, and also be assured that there won't be a large error that wouldn't allow for me to do that...
Any help is appreciated!
You've waited this long. What's another month or two? (w00t) -
Why are you always so negative? :ermm:
In a world where everyone's fate is death, there is no need to be positive.
/sarcasm? -
Someone either didn't read or didn't understand the first post.
Just poking humor into a relatively serious issue. -
Speaking of swine flu, find out the truth about it.
http://newworldliberty.wordpress.com/2009/04/25/swine-flu-attack-likely-a-beta-test/
And yes it is true that Baxter "accidentally" sent live strains of avian flu vaccines to 18 countries across the globe. Look it up. They did not get prosecuted as well. I find it very, very strange that something like this "accidentally" happens when it is in their system regulations to have a step-check process of prevention.
What's the status on the subscription manager

Well, beta 1 has been released. I hope it doesn't take long to get out of beta.
