Randy Calvert's post in Guest View - Cached? was marked as the answer
Are you hosted in the IPB cloud? If so, guests see cached versions of a page. Cached pages are stored for 900 seconds.
Also… find some really old topics, especially with lots of pages. Those generally would not be frequently accessed and would mean they’re much less likely to be on cache.

Randy Calvert's post in Marketplace ReDownload App | Not Allow? was marked as the answer
If you purchased an application that has a renewal cost, you would need to have the renewal paid to download it again.
You can renew it by visiting:
https://invisioncommunity.com/clients/purchases/
You don’t have to purchase the entire app again, but the subscription does need to be current to access it again. (If it was already installed, you could have kept using it. But if it’s downloaded again… it must be active.)
Basically if the purchase expires, you can’t get support for it or download it. But if it is running on your site, it won’t turn off or things like that.

Randy Calvert's post in How to delete IP bans was marked as the answer
IPB does not have a default way of mass deleting IP bans. Manually editing the database is not supported and it is highly recommended not to touch directly unless you know exactly what you're doing and understand the potential repercussions. If you ignore this advice, I would HIGHLY recommend taking a backup just to be safe before hand. You make any changes at your own risk. I will not be held liable for anything that does not work as expected or if a suggested solution blows up your site. Copyright 2023 Randy Calvert. All rights reserved. (Is that enough of a disclaimer!?)
Look in the core_banfilters table. You'll find all of the ban records there.

Randy Calvert's post in Rank images not showing after new install was marked as the answer
The file you need to import is \applications\core\data\achievements\ranks.xml
You would import it into:
ACP > Members > Achievements > Ranks
Click on the "Import" button and find that XML I noted above in your local copy.

Randy Calvert's post in errno: 28 No space left on device 1021 was marked as the answer
/tmp/ is a partition. It’s like having a c:/ and d:/ on Windows. If either the main system partition or the tmp partitions are out of space, you’ll have the same problem. That’s something you’ll have to address with your hosting provider as it’s not software related.

Randy Calvert's post in Automatic upgrade failing was marked as the answer
Do a manual upgrade. Download the files from your client area, upload them to your website and then visit domain.com/admin/upgrade.

Randy Calvert's post in HTTP ERROR 500 when trying to search was marked as the answer
It looks like one of your third party plugins is interfering and not working right. Turn them off one by one to find the culprit and then work with the resource author. 🙂

Randy Calvert's post in "This theme file could not be saved" was marked as the answer
I just tested creating a new theme and editing one of my existing themes and did not have an issue on my cloud hosted site. Have you tried doing this with a different browser? I'm wondering if something in your local cache or if a browser plugin is messing things up for you.
If it's still happening, a member of the staff will have to look for you. 🙂

Randy Calvert's post in How can we suspend forum members, but not delete their account or content? was marked as the answer
You should have two different member groups… one for subscribers, one for non-subscribers. Non-subscribers would not have access to the forums. (Such as your guests group). People that don’t have an active subscription should be in the the appropriate group.

Randy Calvert's post in Outgoing Digest Emails was marked as the answer
ALL emails that come from CiC are sent from that address on behalf of whatever address you have as your default board address.
This means if someone replies to that message it goes back to you and not IPS.
IPS cannot send mail on behalf of your domain without a ton of extra setup work (such as DKIM and SPF) regarding spam. In addition it would require IPS to get your domain approved by AWS to send email, which in itself can sometimes be a large task.
If you don’t want to have the invisioncloudcommunity.com as the outbound, you’ll need to use your own SMTP server for outbound email or configure sending email through Sendgrid. This means you are responsible for the outbound email delivery instead of IPS.

Randy Calvert's post in Publicly accessible Google API key for Google Cloud Platform project was marked as the answer
The public key is intended to be that… public. It HAS to be in the request for your end user to view something that generates a map request. The private key is not shared.
Google appears to be mass sending it to people. The key is only shared in the way Google instructs it to be done. Make sure you have proper restrictions so your key can be used from your domain and you’ll be fine.

Randy Calvert's post in New registration password was marked as the answer
There is not a default feature to do this. I looked in marketplace around the phrase “password” and did not find anything either. It would most likely need developed by a 3rd party.

Randy Calvert's post in Displaying a badge with users posts was marked as the answer
This is not possible in the default software, but this should be doable with 3rd party customization.
I believe @Nathan Explosion has an app that can do something similar...

Randy Calvert's post in Default Home Page not working was marked as the answer
This sounds like your host is not recognizing index.php as a default file.
This is typically set through the DirectoryIndex directive in httpd.conf
DirectoryIndex index.html index.php
By the way...
https://hosangit.net/index.php
If you specifically add the index.php, it works. So yes... this is a config issue within your server. Either you've got an existing index.htm(l) file that is being called first, or you don't have index.php as a default file. 🙂

Randy Calvert's post in Will the "live" features be available to regular customers as well? was marked as the answer
I think he’s asking if those features will be available in the self hosted version.
The short answer is most self hosting setups do not meet the requirements to make it work. It’s dependent on the AWS platform and heavily modified to meet IPS needs.
As a result, the cost to make those features available in a self hosted setup would end up costing more than the hosted version.
At the end of the day… anything is possible. But based on past statements by IPS, there are no plans at this time to do this.

Randy Calvert's post in Messages sent by contact formular was marked as the answer
There is not a log of emails sent by the contact us form. If it was not logged by the mail server itself, it’s lost.

Randy Calvert's post in Getting a 404 not found was marked as the answer
A 404 is a “not found” error. That would lead me to one of two issues:
- Files were deleted from your website. (Check your FTP to see if IPB files are still there.)
- Your .htaccess is not in place that is enabling search friendly URLs. Go to domain.com/admin and search for “search friendly”. Download the .htaccess file and upload it. (Make sure it’s named .htaccess with the dot in front.)

Randy Calvert's post in Default Theme: where to find? was marked as the answer
The only way to get a copy of a clean guaranteed unmodified default theme is to create one. (Choose the manual mode one based on what you described.)
Once you create it, you don’t have to assign it to users. You can look through it as you see fit.

When you select "All Files", below it is option to allow only specific file extension.
Just start typing in the extension (such as PNG) and it will auto-suggest for you.

Randy Calvert's post in Changed to PHP8.0. and can no longer access site was marked as the answer
That means your server’s PHP8 is not working correctly. You’ll need to work with your hosting provider. PHP is most likely not compiled correctly.
If that script cannot run, it is absolutely a server problem.

Randy Calvert's post in Move forum to new host and having issue with the admin was marked as the answer
You would want to upload ALL 4.7.7 files. Don’t mix/match. After you upload the 4.7.7 files, go to yourdomain.com/admin/upgrade to manually upgrade to the latest version. 🙂

Randy Calvert's post in Renew, but just the Forums App? was marked as the answer
https://invisioncommunity.com/contact-us/
Choose Accounts and Billing. They can remove Gallery from your license which then would reduce the amount needed for renewal.

Randy Calvert's post in I have error googleapis was marked as the answer
It’s a time out error. It means your server sent a request to Google but after 10 seconds got nothing back.
This means one of two things: 1. There was a networking issue between your server and Google’s server. 2. Google’s servers for whatever reason was down and unable to respond.
In either situation, IPS can’t fix those issues. It’s going to either be a temporary transient problem that fixes itself or something your host has to address.
By the way… “resolving” most likely points more closely to your server’s DNS being the problem instead of Google as it’s highly unlikely that Google’s DNS was down.

Randy Calvert's post in White Screen When I Change PHP To 8.1 was marked as the answer
Sounds like you need to work with your hosting provider to get your PHP8 install fixed! You are missing some critical things that will absolutely break your site if missing. 🙂
Once it’s fixed and it shows as all green on PHP8, try your site on it then and you can move onto testing/fixing third party resources. Step one is to get the base software running with the required system modules.

Randy Calvert's post in Update to 4.7.7 Beta 4 was marked as the answer
If you create (or add to) your constants.php file, you can enable the ability to use beta builds.
<?php define( 'USE_DEVELOPMENT_BUILDS', TRUE ); This would then make the ACP updater update you to beta builds.
