  1. Someone is assigned or is part of a specific member group. (Such as a Contributors group, or Publisher group, etc.) Someone makes a purchase. (Existing rules are for Subscriptions or recurring subscriptions.) Someone makes a donation. Add photo is already included... add "New Content Item Is Posted" and set "Its a Gallery Image". (You could also do one for an album.) I love specific date, as there are certain big events that have happened.... the day we converted to IPB, a day that we recovered from a large outage, etc. Giving a "survivor" badge would be fun for members as of X date.
  2. I just checked my self-hosted license and it displays "/ 6 months". By any chance are you using CiC? Given the 105 price point matching the 6 month renewal price for all applications, I'm assuming not, but just covering the bases.
  3. Awesome plugin! With the release of 4.6, I'm noticing some issues with badges on the notifications page... Could you help by any chance please? Thanks!
  4. Can you create a separate set of credentials with your merchant provider and limit those credentials to test mode only?
  5. Hello, I am interested in finding someone to help me develop a plugin that would allow for a image to be added to the gallery by URL. I have a number of users who have images already hosted elsewhere and does not want to separately upload them. The desired behavior would work similar to: User clicks "Add Images" in Gallery, and picks where the image should be placed (category/album, etc). Under existing "Add Images" box that lets a user upload an image would be a box to let a user enter an image URL. Once the image URL is submitted, the plugin would download the image from the remote host and add it to the gallery as if the user uploaded it. (It should pick up the normal IPB workflow once an image is uploaded where a user can assign tags, comments, etc.)
  6. You can do this outside of IPB through the use of robots.txt. Some examples of robots.txt blocking bots can be found at: https://www.inmotionhosting.com/support/website/how-to-stop-search-engines-from-crawling-your-website/
  7. Invision Community represents what I've looked for in community management software for nearly a decade. Simple/intuitive content management - CHECK Powerful member management tools - CHECK Robust engagement capabilities - CHECK Ability to extend built-in capabilities via API - CHECK I can now easily deliver a fully dynamic and engaging user experience to my members from within a single tool. 8. @TAMAN... I love this theme. It looks absolutely FANTASTIC. Quick question for you... is there a way to limit the slider to appearing only a specific page? I see where I can limit it to the default app (which is Pages), but I don't want it to show on other pages outside of the home page itself.
  9. It's never really simple. While those may be common pages for you, what about "Contact Us" pages, or "About Us" pages, or any dozen other pages people might like to have. Again... this is where IP.Content comes into play. They can use it to easily create this, even fitting the look/feel of the board or just creating a simple static HTML page and creating a hyperlink to it. I'd rather see IPS concentrate on areas that are harder for us as end users to create ourselves, using their expertise/skills to solve complex challenges and add new and innovative features rather than just spitting out something any of us can do with little/no work on our part.
  10. While you are at it, I'm sure you could make yourself useful and rake the leaves and polish Lindy's car. :)
  11. What does "this site" have anything to do with how others are saying things like "I tell my members to search but it sucks", or how it's "atrocious"? How IPS choses to apply the settings for their own corporate board should not matter if you configure your own board the way you want, right? If your complaint is how IPS configrued their own board, I suppose there really is not that much of a problem. ;)
  12. Those complaining about the time... why not just change the setting for it in the ACP?
  13. How can you control the file size of an image hosted on a remote server? The software does not control it in any way and cannot know it's size until called. Even if we were to say when the user submits the image link.... and IPB checked it to make sure it was below some threshold, what's to stop that image from being changed (since it's on a remote server which the board has no control over)? The only way to prevent this is to disable remote linking entirely (which is just a setting change).
  14. Or it could just be that others don't find it useful?
  15. Why can I picture Charles sitting at his desk wearing a t-shirt with "SHOW ME THE MONEY" on it right now? :)
  16. And this is exactly why they generally don't. If something happens that keeps it from happening, people say "But you promised it in this thread right here. See that thread, they said it was going to happen, but it did not! OMG IPS IS HORRIBLE! I can't do my new site and the world is ending... oh what a world, what a world!" OK... so I'm being a bit sarcastic there, lol. However when something happens that keeps a date from being released, people tend to freak out. As someone who deals with managing user exceptions at work, I know exactly where they're coming from with being reluctant to give any kind of dates.
  17. Works fine for me. Again, works fine for me. Ummm.... not sure what you mean "decent". If you don't like the look/feel then by all means... design one you think is better or grab one from the various resource sites.
  18. And remember... there are no such things as "bugs". Just unannounced features.
  19. I can just see it now... Charles> Hey guys... I found a bug. bfarber> Here... have a can of raid. Go back to your office. Charles> No seriously guys... I found a bug! Matt> Yeah, and I'm Madonna.
