Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Maureen Becker Posted Wednesday at 09:28 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:28 PM I just started a new forum and I have a few members telling me that they can post replies but they can't 'like' a post. I checked their individual member profile and all their notifications are on. Couldn't find a permissions area on a member profile other than notifications. I went to the forum and checked that all the boxes were checked for everyone that they can see forum, answer ,etc. Where else do I go to fix this issue? THX.
Solution Jim M Posted Wednesday at 09:32 PM Solution Posted Wednesday at 09:32 PM You will want to ensure that the group in question is able to react to things. This is in ACP -> Members -> Groups -> edit group ->Â Reactions
Gary Posted Wednesday at 09:33 PM Posted Wednesday at 09:33 PM (edited) Hi @Maureen Becker, AdminCP -> Members -> Member Settings -> Reputation & Reactions First check that reputation is enabled and have a look through the other settings to suit your community. If you search for 'reaction' in your AdminCP, you will find some other settings that might be useful too. Edit: Beat me to it, Jim! 😄 Edited Wednesday at 09:33 PM by Gary
Maureen Becker Posted Wednesday at 09:36 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 09:36 PM awesome! So easy! You just need to know where to look. Thx so much Jim and Gary!!! Jim M 1
Maureen Becker Posted Wednesday at 09:57 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 09:57 PM well f&ck. lol  Now the 'like' button has been replaced with a 'thank you' trophy. Sigh. Is there a place where I can choose exactly what emoticon reactions they have access to? Not sure why giving them access to reactions would CHANGE the reactions...
Gary Posted Wednesday at 10:02 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:02 PM You just have to reorder them. AdminCP -> Members -> Member Settings -> Reputation & Reactions -> Reactions -> Reorder the reactions by click and holding on the burger to the left of each image That should do it. 😉
Maureen Becker Posted Wednesday at 10:05 PM Author Posted Wednesday at 10:05 PM THX GARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is it that it doesn't give option to 'enable' the like button? Is that because it's a default or something? Gary 1
Marc Posted yesterday at 08:31 AM Posted yesterday at 08:31 AM It is indeed because its the default item.Â
