Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted January 15Jan 15 I just started a new forum and I have a few members telling me that they can post replies but they can't 'like' a post. I checked their individual member profile and all their notifications are on. Couldn't find a permissions area on a member profile other than notifications. I went to the forum and checked that all the boxes were checked for everyone that they can see forum, answer ,etc. Where else do I go to fix this issue? THX.
January 15Jan 15 Solution You will want to ensure that the group in question is able to react to things. This is in ACP -> Members -> Groups -> edit group -> Reactions
January 15Jan 15 Hi @Maureen Becker, AdminCP -> Members -> Member Settings -> Reputation & Reactions First check that reputation is enabled and have a look through the other settings to suit your community. If you search for 'reaction' in your AdminCP, you will find some other settings that might be useful too. Edit: Beat me to it, Jim! 😄 Edited January 15Jan 15 by Gary
January 15Jan 15 Author awesome! So easy! You just need to know where to look. Thx so much Jim and Gary!!!
January 15Jan 15 Author well f&ck. lol Now the 'like' button has been replaced with a 'thank you' trophy. Sigh. Is there a place where I can choose exactly what emoticon reactions they have access to? Not sure why giving them access to reactions would CHANGE the reactions...
January 15Jan 15 You just have to reorder them. AdminCP -> Members -> Member Settings -> Reputation & Reactions -> Reactions -> Reorder the reactions by click and holding on the burger to the left of each image That should do it. 😉
January 15Jan 15 Author THX GARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why is it that it doesn't give option to 'enable' the like button? Is that because it's a default or something?
