Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
David N. Posted yesterday at 01:32 PM Posted yesterday at 01:32 PM (edited) A user just edited a post but they didn't mean to. Is it possible to revert that edit to restore the original post? Edited yesterday at 01:32 PM by David N.
Solution Marc Posted yesterday at 03:28 PM Solution Posted yesterday at 03:28 PM There is no functionality that allows for that within the software currently. You can lot all edits, then manually revert it back. That would be your own option David N. 1
David N. Posted yesterday at 03:56 PM Author Posted yesterday at 03:56 PM Oh ok so I would have to select the option to log all edits in the ACP and then I would be able to restore new edits, great. Thanks!

Thanks! Well, you would just copy and paste them from the log. There isnt a restore button as such. But at least you would then have the content to copy David N. 1

I'm wondering if it's worth turning it on only for the rare time when I would need it.Â

If you find value in that and people aren't editing the whole entirety of War & Peace into their post replies, I would guess that the average size is negligible. David N. 1
David N. Posted yesterday at 06:07 PM Author Posted yesterday at 06:07 PM That makes sense. Great, thank you Jim, appreciate the help. 🙂Â
Gary Posted 23 hours ago Posted 23 hours ago Hi @David N., If you toggle 'Log all edits made to content and what was changed' in the AdminCP -> System -> Settings -> Posting & Editor -> General -> Edit log, you can always prune edit the log to prevent any over usage of resources on your server.
