Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
NSPN Posted August 19 Posted August 19 If you've entered venues with addresses and then enable Google Maps integration, maps don't display for the venues. If you resave the venue (even without edits), a map will display.
Jim M Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Are you seeing this behavior on the event page itself? Unfortunately, I am not able to reproduce this. Have you tried to disable all third party applications/plugins and switching to an unmodified theme?
NSPN Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 We don't have third party apps. It's not a big problem, just good to know that if it happens resaving the venues after enabling maps integration fixes it.
NSPN Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 I disabled maps integration, then reenabled it. Had to resave all venues again so they'd display. Yes, this is on the individual event page.
Jim M Posted August 19 Posted August 19 Would check to ensure that there isn't an issue on your browser or any browser plugins/extensions which may be interfering here as I just tested on your community without any issue.
NSPN Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 Saw the test event briefly. I don't know how you could have tested this issue, as it happens when maps integration is disabled then enabled. Since maps integration was already enabled, the issue would not have showed.
Jim M Posted August 19 Posted August 19 If you saved the event while it was disabled, this would make since as the event was not created with the map in mind and a resave would indeed be required. This is working as intended.
NSPN Posted August 19 Author Posted August 19 Resaving the venue fixes it, not resaving the event. Anyway, it's a bit of a non-problem. Really just posted here to share. Thanks.
Marc Posted August 20 Posted August 20 Thanks for letting us know. I will take a look at that in my testing and get it on our bug tracker if needed
