Como
I've disabled animated avatars, but members can still add: gif, jpeg, jpe, jpg, png, webp And we are getting animated images. Is it possible to disallow gif and webp uploads for avatars?
Marc Stridgen
If you have disabled animated avatars, it should be allowing them at all. Bear in mind that gif doesn't necessarily mean animated.
Como
Hi Marc, I'll go and have a look for myself. Team members have reported new animated avatars, and that was the list of allowed of file types. I did check the settings, and animated avatars were disallowed. But I must admit, I've not checked it out further than this. I assumed I was missing something. I guess I'll create a test account. Solution Como Posted July 24, 2023 Author Solution Share Posted July 24, 2023 Hi Marc, I resolved the problem with a test account. For one, I am used to a global setting for disabling animated avatars. And although I had this set up correctly for Primary and post-count groups, I had not set the restriction for Secondary groups. Those Secondary groups are not even in use now, but many members are still assigned to them since migration a few days ago. Sorry to have wasted your time.
