Steve Bullman Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 I need to send a bulk mail to one usergroup. Is there an option to override their settings for receiving mail?
Solution Adriano Faria Posted June 14, 2023 Solution Posted June 14, 2023 If you mean the restriction to receive news and information, which bulk mail relies on: Maxxius 1
MMXII Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 I remember an older answer from Invision Community staff that it was a conscious decision to not allow bulk mails to be sent to everyone, so by default this is not possible. I wish though that it was, too.
Marc Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 There is no option to ignore a users preference on mail within the core platform, and to be honest it would actually be very much recommended against Steve Bullman 1
MMXII Posted June 14, 2023 Posted June 14, 2023 There are however some situations where by law you have to inform your users (all of them) about certain occurrences, e.g. data privacy breaches, at least within the EU. Adriano Faria 1

In this instance I need to send vital information to a certain usergroup to update their information within an app feature. Not contacting them isn't an option unfortunately. Adriano Faria 1
