Forum overrun with spam accounts

Hi there,

In the last two days my forum is suddenly getting overrun with spam accounts. I have hCaptcha installed and require email authentication. It doesn't seem to matter. Suggestions?

Would recommend checking out our guide here on Spam Prevention, it looks like you have disabled registration on your community currently so I cannot fully advise on what you have in place.

 

 

There are also reports from other users where spam is currently extremely heavy at the moment.

Thanks. Yes I had to turn off new registrations. I had both validation emails and the hCaptcha system in place.

Have you tried increasing the sensitivity in hCaptcha? Also, do you have multiple Question and Answer items added?
