Logging in to marketplace from test url returns access denied please contact support

We just added our new test url according to instructions and launched the forum on the final version on our test url. We are working to move from old server to this new server and one issue we are having is that the theme is not working properly. I wanted to install an alternative theme to try and wanted to sign in to marketplace. When I try to login I am not getting authorised. Could you please help?

Could you please confirm where you have the installation? That would not work on a local install

It's Installed on our new server which we followed the instructions from Jim on this topic

Ah, the issue there is the htaccess you have in place. You would need to ensure any connections to the following location are whitelisted from any IP or password authentication

/index.php?app=core&module=system&controller=marketplace
