Marafa Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 (edited) Hi, Today one of the moderators flagged a member as spammer by mistake all that member's posts where deleted based on the current setting any possible way to recover his posts ? His attachments are still reachable Listed in ACP , but not reachable, and his page shows zero posts Edited January 5, 2023 by Marafa
Marc Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 Unfortunately there is no way of recovering these if you have set them to be permanently deleted. Your only option would be backup recovery
Randy Calvert Posted January 5, 2023 Posted January 5, 2023 You would need to restore from an earlier backup. There is not an “undo” option for the flag as spammer option.
Marafa Posted January 5, 2023 Author Posted January 5, 2023 Hi, is restoring the posts of a specific member only from backup possible ? I would recommend to allow the admin to undo such mass deletion for a grace period. The feature is useful for real spammers, but sometimes mistakes happens

The feature is useful for real spammers, but sometimes mistakes happens Feel free to post that up as a suggestion for future releases. However I would say, you should only give this to people who you trust not to delete known members, and also you could ban the member and hide the content only if needed. This would give you the ability to then choose to delete it, or to recover it. As mentioned in the setting, deleting already submitted content is not recoverable. With regard the backup, there is no selective restore unfortunately.
