Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Elon Report Posted May 9, 2022 Posted May 9, 2022 (edited) Had a page that took a couple hours to perfect. I tried to move a block, got the error above, and lost all data in that block! Is there a way to get it back? Edit: Would this happen if two administrators had the block open in edit mode? Edited May 9, 2022 by MartinLawrence
Marc Posted May 10, 2022 Posted May 10, 2022 If 2 have had it open and one has saved it, then they may well have saved it with no data. There is no way in which to recover a block without restoring a backup from an earlier point in time
Solution opentype Posted May 10, 2022 Solution Posted May 10, 2022 Tip: Create the block in the ACP as Pages block. That way, nothing you do on the front-end can kill it. Marc and Elon Report 1 1

Shouldn't the default be set to not edit the blocks when visiting? I'm going to see now if there is any automated backup in this incredible software...
Marc Posted May 12, 2022 Posted May 12, 2022 Its only set to open when you click on edit from the admin CP. It doesnt open that way when visited from the front end using a normal link. The reason it opens that way from the admin CP is that the intention of that button is to edit the page Elon Report 1
