Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
David N. Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 (edited) I have one main forum and several less important forums. Users should almost always post in the main forum. When someone clicks Start New Topic on the home page, a forum selector opens. Is it possible to bypass that forum selector and instead automatically create the topic in the main forum? Thanks! Solution opentype Posted May 6, 2022 Solution Posted May 6, 2022 (edited) Only by customizing your theme templates. The link for the button is generated in the index -> index template. Edited May 6, 2022 by opentype David N. 1
Marc Posted May 6, 2022 Posted May 6, 2022 You would however be setting your moderators up for some work there, as nearly everyone is going to post in the same forum all the time, even if thats not the correct forum
David N. Posted May 6, 2022 Author Posted May 6, 2022 Thank you @opentype! @Marc Stridgen Yes, however I believe that's likely to be less work than it is currently, to move back nearly every single post to the main forum when they're posted in the wrong places. I'll experiment with it. Marc 1
