Commerce, does a card need to be stored for each Payment Method?

Hi

I added a new card payment method.  Then when paying for a product I was unable to use an existing stored card which was previously used with payment method 1, I had to re-enter the card for the new payment method 2.

In the screenshot, the first three cards were previously used with payment method 1.  I had to re-add the card ending in 3155 when using payment method 2 rather then choosing one of the stored cards.  It never offered any of the stored cards.

Is this the expected behaviour?

Yes, that would be expected, as we dont actually store card details. They are stored on the card processor side, and not on our side. Therefore we dont Actually have the current full details to provide them with in order for you to use an existing one for a different provider

Ok, it would be good if the member could see which cards were used and saved for each payment method.  As the member could delete the duplicated card which may have been saved to be used for automatic renewals.

Could this page/view be grouped by the payment method?
