Could you please confirm you are on the latest release of the platform, and that you are using a default unaltered theme with no plugins activated? Also, please check to see which pages you are on when you believe it to be showing incorrectly. We can then take a look at that

Are the links that you're clicking to arrive at these variations each part of the software or are they manual links which may be outdated in your system?

Also as mentioned above, please check which pages you are clicking on the links on that area leading to an incorrect location, and let us know these pages. We can then take a look

If your links contain index.php and are not being rewritten to exclude it, you would want to check the Rewrite URLs setting in ACP -> System -> Search Engine Optimization. Please ensure you follow the instructions (in the description of the field) to apply the .htaccess. (please note: .htaccess only works with Apache web servers. If you run something else you will need to have a server administrator write these URL rewrites for you)

With that said, the index.php should not be impacting anything from the meta tag editor. However, we would need to know the URL which you are finding these links on and if they are a part of the software or manual.

Your screenshot isnt showing on the link there, so I cannot see what you are looking at.

The advantage to using rewrites is that they are more human readable to your members.

Friendly URL would indeed be good for SEO, yes. If you are seeing index.php then it is indeed because you dont have friendly URLs switched on within System->Search Engine Optimization

Did you ensure you have the htaccess in place as previously mentioned? If so, we would need your access details on file to be up to date for us to take a closer look. Your FTP details at present appear to be incorrect
