If it's a new website/domain, it usually takes time for google to start ranking your website.

Have you got a google search console account and added it in there and also added a site map? also think about using the meta editor to write descriptions for the forums etc

Google has dedicated resources on how to write meta tags for its search engine (including which meta tags not to bother with), so I'd highly suggest checking that out first.

when I search for "old skool forums" on google my web site does not show on google. what do I have to do to get it to show?

- Well, You might want to be a little more descriptive of your title (Forums - Oldskooltapes)
(super quick example)
Oldskooltapes Forum - Music from the Past

- You will also want to add a description to each of your topics which is easily done inside the Invision app.

- You should fix the broken links going to the image(s)

- Follow what @liquidfractal  said

- In the news and update you might want to add an "About" post to give visitors an idea of what your forum is about. It's not just Google itself but the people who visit your forum that will help determine your ranking.

The images missing is a bug with the downloads it just randomly removes them and It could be the server am on it can be slow at times but I Don't want the cost of a VPS were everything  would work perfectly.I think the server am on is been massively oversold. But I don't care as its half the cost of a VPS

thanks for your advice it was very helpful and well do as you advised.

@tnn makes a great point here.  It seems obvious, but many sites don't provide a simple "About" post (or page) to tell people exactly what your forum (or site) is about.  Something like a mission statement with good, relevant keywords in this page or post would also help your rankings on some level.
