Hi,

I've set up a "restrict from posting" time into the warnings section (for a certain amount of points) thinking it will disallow members (who have reached the corresponding amount of warning points) to post anything during the specified time period, but it seems the users can still post in the community... So, what does "restrict from posting" ?

It should prevent them from posting. If that isn't the case, submit a support ticket and we will investigate for you.
