Is there a way to cut off and only show a small part of the content of status messages in the activity stream that has long texts or large images? Preferable it has a read more link that when clicked will display the full content of the status message? Like in the picture below:

I've been trying this plugin and it does pretty much what I want. But it doesn't work for status updates that are displayed after you click the load more activity button. And it doesn't seem to work that great with images. Oh well, it's a start. 😞
