No, that’s how it is. Search (in all places of the app) will bring records only in the chosen language.

I can hardcode it to English but there are others members using it and I’m not sure they would want this.

Let me know if you want to edit a file in your install then you can hardcode it to English.

@Adriano Faria the problem with this APi is, that media items like images, posters or videos are served in different languages, mostly english or without any language. Maybe the best way, if possible, is to request the media items without any language given.

You're right. I think the actually version is the best way for everyone.

 

For the movie/tv show, I use the poster_path from the movie data itself: https://developers.themoviedb.org/3/movies/get-movie-details

For Videos, language is optional: https://developers.themoviedb.org/3/movies/get-movie-videos

I can remove the language but then it’s a question of time until someone else comes and say “why my videos aren’t showing in the language I selected in the settings?”

• Added new tabs, with settings to control their visibility, in the movie view: Photos and Posters.
• Added ability to add/edit URLs for the movie. Beyond IMDB link, which is added via API, now you can add: official website, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Wikipedia. A fonta-awesome icon will be displayed for each under the cover and only people that can edit the movie + the author can add/edit URLs.
• Append content to movie description: that's a per-category feature and allows admins to enter any information they want to be displayed after description in movie view.

Enhancements:

• List of suggested movies updated when you type its letters in the movie title field when you're adding a movie. Before the list was updated when you left the title field (by pressing TAB).
• Tabs Cast & Crew now display Movies and TV Shows.
• Rework in several templates to make the app better looking.

Note:

• Removed the tab Reviews from movie view.

Just for presentation on what you can do with some tweaks on design. @Adriano Faria took care for the quality of code (still didn't found even a single bug), so the only that left out is some design work to make it more beautiful. Currently I'm working on the movie page and when finish I'll work on listing page.

Please note that mobile is not yet ready, so I suggest to test it in desktop view. The only that I added is a custom field (upload type) for the Cover Photo.

Hey Adriano quick question. Is it possible when someone clicks on the thread title to immediately redirect them to the automatic created forum topic? Not a big deal considering there's a button for that leads to the discussion topic but was just curious. Thanks

Still not following. You want to click in a movie link, like on activity streams, and go to the topic instead of the movie itself? If that’ll what you mean, no.

Would need to test to see if I can reproduce and fix.

Basically when you click on the title of the movie it redirects you to the forum topic instead.

Hi Adriano, I have been sending you many messages but you haven't replied so I am posting here to get your help...

I purchased several addons from you Movies, Books and Quizzes and I can't get them updated.

Initially I purchased them from you through the Marketplace here, I then renewed and updated them direct from you and since updating my site to the latest IPS version requiring php v8 I am stuck with them locked and disabled on my site. I need to get them updated and working PLEASE tell me what to do
