pequeno Posted March 2, 2020 Posted March 2, 2020 Today, link shortening with bitly doesn´t work on my forum. This is the reason: https://dev.bitly.com/v4_documentation.html#section/Migrating-from-V3 It is necessary to migrate to v4. Thanks.

If you're still having an issue with Bit.ly, please submit a ticket. Tahk you. Issue has been solved by suuport. But today I received this message Quote Support for Bitly API V3 has ended; move to API V4 today Dear Bitly Customer, Our records show your organization is still actively generating Bitly links using a Bitly API that is no longer supported as of March 1, 2020. While API V2/V3 integrations will continue to work for a brief time after March 1, you are urged to complete your migration to API V4 immediately and no later than March 31 in order to avoid any disruptions to your work. Make the transition to API V4 before connections to our older APIs are terminated. Click here to learn more and get started. Note that your organization may be making calls to an older version of the Bitly API via your own integration or through a third-party integration that uses the Bitly API. In both cases, a failure to migrate to API V4 will cause your API calls to stop working. Version 4.0.0 (V4) of the Bitly API takes advantage of the latest API standards, with reduced complexity, improved documentation, and decreased levels of effort for integrations. Support for older APIs has ended. Existing integrations with API V3 will stop working very soon. If you’ve not started, please begin your move to API V4 immediately to avoid any disruptions in your Bitly-supported services. MIGRATE TO API V4 NOW
bfarber Posted March 6, 2020 Posted March 6, 2020 If you install the patch in your Support tool, you're good to go and don't have anything further to worry about. They're simply notifying you that you were recently using the old API. The patch from the support tool will use the new API moving forward.
