Posted January 17, 20205 yr About This File This resource will display categories/forums as tabs in Forums index. Create Your Own Tabs: You can create how many tabs you want. There are 4 types of tabs: All Root Categories: will add one tab for each root category Specific Root Categories: you can choose how many root categories you want to display per tab Specific Forums: you can choose how many forums you want to display per tab Clubs Specific Forums: you can choose which club forums you want to display per tab Multi Language Support: You can give tabs different titles according to the languages you have installed in your board Per Tab Permisison: You can also choose which user groups can view each tab. Notes: It will add a new display option in the index if you allow members to choose forum view type Compatible with Grid View per Forums by @DawPi A second line of tabs will show up if you have many root categories. The less the better. Upgrade from Plugin to the Application: Simply install the application. It will add a tab automatically (All Root Categories) and will uninstall the plugin

From now on you will be able to choose the style per tab: Styles: Table view Grid view. Due to that, dropped integration with Grid View per Forums by @DawPi

February 12, 20205 yr Hey, Is it possible to have the application have an option to enter a custom name for each forum category? Right now it picks up the default forum category name but the name is too big and would like to shorten it on the application if possible.

No. You can set the a tab title according to your languages but categories and forums will use their name.

Oh maybe you’re asking because you allow your members to choose the view? If so, you can run a query to change to the tabbed view but the member will be able to switch to another at any time, as this is the goal of these buttons. The only way to make it “hardcoded” to tabs is disallow members to choose, then tabbed view will be forced.
February 20, 20205 yr Just create your tabs and they will show. Sure but how can I force the default forum view on theses tabs ? In Forum Settings, this new option is not listed. Is there a way to fix this ? Edited February 20, 20205 yr by Eathanor
February 20, 20205 yr Author There’s nothing to fix. This app doesn’t add an option in ACP. Oh maybe you’re asking because you allow your members to choose the view? March 30, 20205 yr Hi, it might be an interesting feature to be able to have the main forum block with latest topics and latest posts et cetera – then when you descend into a category/subcategory a block shows the latest topics and latest posts in that subcategory. I don't think this is possible at the moment
