beats23 Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 1. A guest is replying to a post. 2. The guest fills in their email credentials and types a reply. 3. The guest clicks the submit button. 4. The guest fills out the Google Captcha correctly. 5. The guest is then forwarded to the board's registration page. 6. The guest decides they are not creating an account then close the registration page. When this happens, the post the guest had made shows up on any Block widget that is set up with a post feed. I think those guest posts are only shown to the admin. How does the admin go about deleting these guest post made by a guest who then decides not to create an account? Is there a method which can be used to prevent guest who did not create an account, "posts" from showing up in the post feed Block Widget while still having the guest post feature set to on? The image below describes the guest post in the post-feed block even though the guest did not create an account. This is from a clean IPS install, 4.4.0 Beta 4 with no third-party plugins nor apps installed

Joel R Posted February 18, 2019 Posted February 18, 2019 I have the same problem on 4.3.6! It looks terrible. I tried to submit a ticket but it didn't go anywhere.
beats23 Posted February 19, 2019 Author Posted February 19, 2019 Support said these post will get deleted by IPS system background task. For quick deletion, they can also be deleted via the DB under the Table "forums_posts" column "author_id' these guest post all have author_id set as "0".
