Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Dreadknux Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 IPS4 introduced image proxying for user-generated content, which avoids potentially-insecure hotlinking, and also mixed content issues on HTTPS sites. I've noticed though that, on boards upgraded from 3.x, legacy content (pre-IPS4 posts, signatures etc) is unchanged and still hotlinks from other sites. Is there a good method of getting the old content to use the proxy?

When you turn the proxy on, it should ask you whether old content should be changed or not. If you say yes, it will run a background task which does what you ask for.
Nathan Explosion Posted June 12, 2018 Posted June 12, 2018 When you enable the image proxy, you get this prompt: You get the same prompt if you toggle the setting from on to off and back to on too. Note: last I checked, the image proxy doesn't proxy images in signatures....it's content only. That may have changed though.
Dreadknux Posted June 12, 2018 Author Posted June 12, 2018 @opentype @Nathan Explosion Thanks, toggle did the job ? It does indeed include signatures now, also.
