DesertIslandFruits Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Quick question. Is it possible to have hidden forums that are not viewable on the main page - but are available if you have the direct URL. I want to hide something from the main view. EG, Imagine this fo.rum area hidden but if you knew... https://invisioncommunity.com/forums/forum/497-peer-to-peer-technical-support/ ...you would be able to access it
Faqole Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 You can do that with the built in permissions, unless I misunderstood you.
DesertIslandFruits Posted June 6, 2018 Author Posted June 6, 2018 Sure. What I am looking to do is make it fully active - but I don't want it to be visable at top level. It's a sub-forum that needs to be hidden unless you have the direct URL. I believed the view was can you see it, well you'd need to see it I thought to post - so didn't believe that was the right one.
Aiwa Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 There is no built in method to do what you describe. You'd have to write a plugin that hooks into the methods used, on the pages you wish to hide the forum, and have the forum you're wanting to hide removed from the datasets returned for display except for when you're on the page where you want it displayed.
Adriano Faria Posted June 6, 2018 Posted June 6, 2018 Not sure it works in most recent version. You better ask to the dev.
