Disable topic authors from giving ratings

Hi guys,

Is there an out-of-the-box setting or a plugin to prevent users from rating (i.e., giving stars to) his own contents?

We've seen lots of users creating topics and rating it 5 stars... :/

I don't think so. I know for reactions it's the following:

Members > Member Settings > Reputation & Reactions > Members can react to their own content? 

It's actually quite surprising that this setting doesn't also affect star ratings, or that the star ratings don't have their own similar setting. TBH, I would disable the "give ratings" for normal members and just leave it up to the staff to decide. This would probably have to be a custom-made plugin, and you might want to ask for it over in the custom requests forum.

You can, with a plugin. Made one prettly quickly here and seems to work fine: Don't rate your topic!.xml

Test and let me know if it's ok. I'll look back tomorrow.
