Data below. Moderator Group Members: 21 Error: None Notification Verification: All moderators received a notification that they had been mentioned in test topic. Member Group Members: 4591 Error: A redirect to a generic 500 server error occurs after attempting to mention this group. A page refresh will show that the post/mention was actually created even though you receive this error redirect. I'm assuming this error shows up due to timing out, but I'm only speculating and could be wrong. My assumption is based on the website being stuck in some sort of loading/pending stage after hitting the submit button for about 10+ seconds before it finally gives up and errors out. Notification Verification: No one could verify that a notification was received with proper notification settings applied. I asked roughly 60 members and also checked random accounts for the notification and couldn't find a record of one. Secondary Member Group (Promoted to this group after x amount of content.) Members: 871 Error: None Notification Verification: Several members verified a notification was received. Additional Notes: The website hesitates for about 5 or so seconds compared to the moderator test, but the mention is sent without error nonetheless. Similar test results were received on the test site with the exception of being able to verify the large group issue due to not having that many accounts for the test. Is this something on my end I'll need to look further into or is the application itself struggling to keep up when the group count hits a certain number? Maxxius 1

I personally haven't tested it myself with over 1000 members in 1 group. Currently it uses the same system as with regular mentions. I was planning on doing some updates to this app soon such as hooking it into the @Function and I will also look into this issue to see if I can improve it for a large amount of members. In the meantime you could try to increase your timeout time and see if that helps anything?

LiquidFractal Posted August 21, 2018 Posted August 21, 2018 Any chance of extending the group mention functionality to blog posts? Please? Thanks! ?

Hey Liquid, unfortunately I don't have the blog system in my license with IPB ? If I do have it in the future, I will definitely look into adding it. But I would expect it to work already because the code is hooked into each editor box of a content item Edited August 21, 2018 by kRSB

Here's hoping you can add it soon. ?

See screenshot below for example. I've installed and enabled it settings but I can't get this to show up. Any ideas why?

Disabled one app at a time and checked. Still no dice.

TopLoader Posted February 8, 2019 Posted February 8, 2019 Using this on my forums but members in more than one group are not getting the notifications. Ie: I'm in admin as my primary group with a secondary of coaches. When I group mention coaches the only ones receiving the notification is the ones with coaches set as primary group. Any advice?

Hey, Make sure you are using the latest version, secondary group support was added there. If that is already the case this could be the reason why you didn't receive it: If you are the author of the post, you won't receive a notification (since you made the post yourself, you already know about it, so there is no need to send a notification to yourself) Ie: if you as admin mention @coaches in your post and you are also part of the coaches group, you won't receive the notification (you are author) but all the others who have coaches as primary or secondary will. kRSB Posted August 8, 2019 Author Posted August 8, 2019 @AlexJ you can now mention groups by simply typing @!
