nodle
So I keep seeing on here from a few posts how Invision Power recommends running INNODB over MyISAM. So I am thinking about switching over to it. How complex is it to switch? I don't think putting in a ticket to IPS that they would do this for you correct? I have read a few thread on commands on how to do it here, but a nice clean walk though would be great. Especially when running into some that they cannot convert for being to large. Do I have to change anything in my conf_global.php file as well? Thanks.
Bluto
I switched everything over to INNODB. There are a few threads about it if you search on the forum. It's not that difficult to make the switch.

Bluto
I did it when I upgraded from 3 to 4 and also did a jump from a VPS to a killer server, so I have no basis to notice a difference. There are others who know more then me about this, they'd provide a better answer. Here are some threads to look at: http://www.ryadel.com/en/mysql-convert-all-tables-of-one-or-more-databases-to-myisam-or-innodb/
nodle
Well I was just worried about running into large tables. I asked my host but it looks like I can't edit my.cnf file so I won't be able to add the Barracuda thing to it. So I guess I am out of luck.
