OliverWilbur
Hello, i'm new to IPS suite, and i'm trying to sort things out. I intend to have the traditional community forums where members can exchange discussions, images..... The logical step would be to use the "forums" app, but what about building it instead with "Pages" + database apps ? I can create categories, subcategories, and customize my content with custom fields. Does this make any sense? What would be the inconveniences of doing so over using the forums ? Joel R
IP.Board = forums, with the back-and-forth exchange of discussion and conversation. IP.Pages = articles, where admins (or users with permission) post news articles or records. There is no back-and-forth exchange of discussion, but you can have comments on articles. You don’t have options such as moving and merging, no forum moderators and things like these “advanced forum options”.
